"We have been without power for 3 weeks. TR & JP Electricians came out, fixed the problem, and got us back up and running. They didn’t try to sell us things we didn’t need. The electrician was an actual electrician, not a sales person. After very cold and dark nights, there is light and heat in my home. I highly recommend TR & JP Electricians. There is a reason they have 5 star reviews!"

Customers say: Super punctual

"Lebarious came out to give us an estimate for the job. He got the job after agreeing to match the estimate of another provider. He was both professional and personable as well as really thorough with his work. He had to stay long after the install to address one of the breakers that was kept tripping. We will definitely hire him (Britebox Electrical Services) should we need any electrical and/or a plumbing work done in the future.."

Customers say: Quality work

"Joe is an honest and hardworking individual who does high quality work. He was there when he said he would be, answered all my questions and did an excellent job running power to my new gate, wired up the lights and openers, and even had to do some extra work (at no charge) due to an unforeseen problem not of his making. I would not hesitate to recommend FC Electric and will be using them again in the future."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Moreland, GA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
