"After having bad experiences with two other companies, I wasn't holding out much hope that things would be any better with this company. Was I pleasantly surprised! They were very accommodating in scheduling an appointment that fit my schedule. On the scheduled day they were on time. They checked my entire sprinkler system, fixed several issues, programmed the system, and took the time to explain what they did. And, the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend."

"All went fine. Water pressure was low and well pump ran constantly. The pressure reservoir/tank was more full than usual so internal air bladder went bad. That required reservoir/tank to be replaced and I also had technician replace pressure gauge and relay switch. Unfortunately the well pump pressure was also low. So long story short I had the well pump replaced. It was probably about 15 years old or more. Can't say for sure since this rental property was purchased in 2014. The well pump job involved additional components: A new junction box at well head for the electrical connections, replacement wiring from junction box to submerged pump, 3 sections of 20 foot 1 1/4 pipe along with various plumbing fittings and a new pressure release valve. The well pump job and repipe required a special truck with 30 foot (?) crane to pull out the 3 sections of pipe at 20 foot each. It wasn't a cheap job. Tank job was about $800 and another $2000 for well pump job and parts plus about $200 in sales tax. Overall it was $3057. But it was a completely professional job and I'm so glad I have rent money to cover that cost over time."

"Leaving for work one day I entered the garage to find that the hot water tank had started leaking. I did a quick search on Angi's list and found good reviews for GW Plumbing. By 11 that morning he had someone at my house to replace the pump. I was concerned I was going to be without water for the weekend and REALLY appreciated their SUPER FAST response. After the install the service man wrote the invoice and while I thought it was a little high I was just glad to have it done quickly and I could get back to my life. About a week later I got a letter from GW Plumbing with a check from them. They had found a math error on the invoice and WITHOUT me prompting them sent me a refund for the correction. WOW!!!! I was sooo impressed!"

"Sebastian was very professional. He quickly found the blockage and cleared/cleaned the drain. The price to do so was fair, I didn't feel overcharged or upcharged. I will definitely use JAX-Hydro Jetters for any drain issues."

"Jeff and Ashley are wonderful to work with, I originally found Ashleys water from home advisor. Jeff was quick and fast with his response to my request for service. I had a pinhole leak in my pressure tank and Jeff was able to replace it same day. After completing the Install, we went to turn the power back on, and the above ground well pump didn't come on. After knowledgeable inspection, Jeff determined the pump needed to be replaced. He was able to come back the very next morning and get the job done. All these problems were caused by the chlorination system causing corrosion on the metal components in my well hut. Jeff then recommended that we get away from the chlorination system and go with an airdraw oxidation system to treat our Iron. It has no maintenance other than occasionally resetting the time. Ashleys water had very fair prices and didn't use any pushy sales tactics, Jeff was very honest and knowledgeable. I even went back a few months later and had a water softener system put in. Overall a great experience with Ashleys water."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Mount Dora, FL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
