"The vendor was on time, opened and dismantled the fireplace to allow for proper cleaning. used a drop cloth to protect our hardwood floor and keep the area clean. 
Following the inspection of the fireplace,in the course of the review we discovered a valve that could be replaced to provide for a more efficient start-up of the fireplace. It was not a mandatory fix and we were given the option of making the decision. No high pressure  sales pitch.
