"I hired Baumann's Lawn and Landscape to fix my front lawn. The soil was mostly clay and sand and covered in weeds. They killed and removed all the vegetation, tilled the soil, brought in new topsoil, conditioned/fertilized, and then laid sod. The crew was fast, efficient, polite, and did an amazing job (hopefully this site allows me to upload photos after writing this). The work was done in 3 separate days and took less than 2 weeks from the initial phone call to the finished installation. The price is what you would expect for this level of work and that much sod (sod is not cheap). They're not over-priced but it's not Bob's discount landscaping either. You'll get your money's worth for your project. Baumann's will be my #1 choice for future landscape projects."

"Working with Arthur and the Ballard Enterprises team was a great experience. They did an amazing job with the landscaping, cleanup, and retaining wall. I nearly cried because I haven't seen the outside of my home look decent in so long. :-) The brick for the retaining wall is beautiful and it seems to "brighten" the home. Ballard also did cleanup in my back area and WOW! It looks great and no more walking through tall weeds and mint to get to my deck. I appreciate Arthur teaching me about hostas. I'm not a gardener and know very little about plants and had no idea that was in my yard. And I thought this would take a couple of days but they completed everything in one day. "I found Mt. Diablo very easy to work with and I felt that they worked hard to give me a good value. The stone walkway in the front looks much better than the previous walkway. They installed it very quickly and efficiently. The landscaping in the back was just a bit of mulching and a few shrubs but the yard looks more finished now. The big project was removing a cement slab in the back that was too small to be of use and dipped so that it puddled in front of the door during when it rained. The new patio looks tons better and is of a useful size. I think the patio is a tremendous improvement to the house. The crew worked very efficiently and if I had another similar job I would hire them back.

"It went great, I got a phone call to let me know a previous job was running long and he would be 30 minutes later than expected which i appreciated.  He walked through my yard and told me what he was going to do, and where he would and would not spray.  Very conscious of my yard and what i was growing, watching out for fruits and veggies growing. 
We discussed at length possibilities for lawn improvement, grading, and weed control.  He recommended waiting to move forward on other services so i wasn't 'wasting' money now and getting more production by doing a lawn treatment at a better time.
