The previous homeowners had an unsightly mix of bushes and shrubs, a brick wall that cut into the usable yard space, and stone/rock work that didn’t match the brick patio. Lily and her team removed everything, fixed the area where the patio had been damaged by a neighboring tree, laid a new brick path matching the existing patio, and plant new ground cover in the yard. Lily listened to exactly what we talked envisioned and made it happen!! Our yard looks amazing and we couldn’t be happier. The price was also very reasonable and the work was done promptly. "Excellent and professional landscape service. Gilbert is very responsive and professional, making sure that installation was the way I wanted it. The project included removing existing ground cover (which he saved some for me to transplant in a shady location), prepping soil and installing new ground cover and tree. "We met with Glen on Friday, July 7th to get a concrete walkway and patio to our egress walkout in the back of our house. Glen was very personable and did a great job of explaining exactly what would be done and his high expectations for the product. Glen even drew a picture of his idea so we could really visualize it. I am a visual person and appreciated this greatly. I got the sense from Glen that he takes a lot of pride in his business and wants his customers to have the same product he would expect for himself. I sent Glen a couple of emails between Friday (July 7) and Wednesday (July 12) trying to find out exactly when they were coming but didnÂ’t hear back right away. He did end up getting back to me on Thursday (July 13) and apologized for the absence of communication. He said IÂ’m sorry I didnÂ’t get back to you. I donÂ’t have an excuse and I apologize. I really respected his honesty and his willingness to take responsibility. When youÂ’re running a business and things get busy sometimes things fall through the cracks. I know this and was very impressed that he owned up to it. This is the way to run a business! :) The guys came out on Thursday, July 13th to begin to frame out the walkway/patio. When my husband noticed that the part where the walkway meets the driveway did not look exactly like we had talked about I called Glen and he assured me that he would speak to his guys and get it done. The next morning, Glen came out personally to make sure everything was what we wanted. Our backyard has a steep slope so Glen told us they were going to add some steps in to make it safe to walk on. This is something I never would have thought of but I love how conscious he is about safety. I really appreciate that Glen likes to make things look good but his ultimate goal is safety. It was going to rain on Friday so they decided to come back the next day and pour the concrete. They did a BEAUTIFUL job! We love our walkway & patio What I really loved about working with Glen is his honesty, work ethic and dedication to his customers. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted him instantly. I knew that he wouldnÂ’t cut corners and would make sure we got out moneyÂ’s worth. I absolutely recommend Fairfax Contractor to anyone that is looking to get work done on their home."

"Beautiful job by Troy & Co. Our backyard was useless with standing water and a mud pit under our deck, but Troy installed a french drain system and buried several downspouts to divert the water away from the middle of the yard and installed some river rock with a border under the deck to make it an attractive area versus an eye sore. Will definitely be hitting Troy back up for some more landscaping work in the spring."

"This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure.
