"There was a wind storm in DC that caused some of the shingles on my roof to be damaged and I called and scheduled an appointment with Keith Roofing to assess the damage. Quite a few homes in the area sustained roof or structural damage and I was pleased that Keith Roofing was able to schedule an appointment so quickly. On the day of the appointment, the roofer arrived on time and determined that some of the nails had dislodged and caused some of the shingles to lift away from the roof. He nailed and sealed the lifted shingles and, as a bonus, cleaned out my clogged gutters. I appreciate the professionalism and workmanship and if I need any roof repairs in the future, I'll reach out to Keith Roofing."

"Extremely well. Rich is wonderful! He came right out because of impending rain. He not only replaced the dome (at a reasonable cost: for replacement part $75, for labor and "house call" $60) but he also scheduled free cleanings of my 3 Solatubes. While he was on the roof, he asked if I wanted a complimentary roof inspection performed. I had no idea how old the roof was or what the condition of the shingles were, so I agreed to the inspection. He told me I had about 5 years left on the roof. I considered that a very honest opinion as he could have told me I needed a new roof now (many other companies would have told me this in order to get me to buy a roof from them). I appreciate an honest company! And, Rich is very personable!"

"They replaced our roof this summer and replaced our back patio door this fall. We had great experiences with both projects. Communication was excellent, right from the start. Our sales contact was (and still is) amazing, answered all my questions, and impressed me with his knowledge of the products and the company itself. The handoff to each project manager was smooth, we had folks come out in advance to measure and inspect the project area, on the day of each project manager visited the house and/or contacted us throughout the day to check on things and see if we had questions, and the workmen themselves were friendly and professional. We had a very minor warranty issue on the roof (a visible nail head) that I found after climbing up there myself, and they had their guy back the next day to fix it, which was excellent service and gave me a great deal of confidence about them honoring the warranty. "Very professional company. Had a leak in my dining room and I called them for an estimate for a roof repair. They came out the same day I call them, installed a tarp on my roof to stop the leak. They worked with my insurance company and in a matter of days, I received approval from my insurance. From that point on, it was smooth experience. I chose the type of roof, the materials were ordered and delivered and installed in a timely matter. I would recommend them for any roofing job."

Some roofers would not return my call, others said it would take a month to get to the work. Andre at Springfield was flexible with me and responded to my texts and calls incredibly promptly. "They upsold me on gutters and windows. One section of the gutter is not right. They have a hole just going from one section of the roof right onto the shingles and it backs up with leaves. The roof is great. The windows are already falling apart and I really wish they were installed better. Pretty janky install. Just cut out the ole windows and put new ones. While covering the wood trim with vinyl trim. Didn’t matter that the wood is rotten underneath. Yeah well. I won’t be in this house forever. "

"Crew was responsive, although most did not speak English. Foreman and supervisor were responsive and professional. Major problems occurred with installation. First, rough treatment during shingle removal caused a large piece of roofing plywood to break free and crash through ceiling drywall, narrowly missing gallery artwork. A drywall specialist did respond quickly, but spoke little English. That job was not finished properly because of lack of proper finishing tools. Because of slow response to finish the drywall, the owner decided to finish it himself. Second, a major leak occurred during a rainstorm. It was determined that no flashing was installed at a juncture between two sections of the roof. That problem was resolved by a separate crew. This situation was inexcusable for a roofing company that professes to be superb, and should not have occurred. Fortunately, Power Remodeling responded quickly to resolve the problems. So far, the new roofing looks fine with complements from neighbors."

"To be completely upfront, I should first make it clear that I did not have any work done, my comments are strictly based on the estimate/initial home visit. I also want to start with a few positive things that I did like about this encounter. First, I believe this business is based in Southern Maryland or someplace well outside the beltway, so I greatly appreciated that he drove all the way to my home just for an estimate. Secondly, I appreciated that he showed up on time, which is important for me as I have a bit of a tight work schedule. Lastly, I should note that he did seem to know his stuff, and understood what I wanted to have done. But here are the concerning things: First, as soon as he arrived, he immediately began pointing out other issues that were not directly related to the porch, such as noticing that some of the trim around one of my upstairs windows was rotting, and that there were a couple of missing shingles on my roof (gee thanks, I also have a hole in my left sock, want to talk about that too?). This really wasn't a major issue, but it was an immediate indication that he was fishing for extra projects. Later, after assessing the kind of work that would need to be done to the porch, he quoted me $18k, which at first appeared fairly reasonable. But after asking a few more questions, I learned that this estimate would not include any of the paperwork necessary for required permits, or even a drawling/sketch. He recommended that I do the paperwork/permit myself if I wanted to keep the price at 18k. I asked him how much more he would charge if I took care of everything except for the required drawling, he said that alone would cost an additional $2,000! By this point, I was getting a little nervous and wanted to make sure I had the specifics nailed down. So I asked if he would provide me the price in writing. He immediately said that he would not provide anything in writing, and that if I had any doubts about his work, I should look at the reviews on angles list! I don't care if someone has a 1,000 positive reviews, any contractor worth your business should always provide you an estimate in writing, and they should be completely upfront about any additional costs. Perhaps he's good at what he does, maybe I would have loved his work, but it's just not worth the risk."
