He shut the valve off, and called to tell me that it was a bad solenoid, and also another valve was leaking.  I told him that I knew he had another job to go to, and that I had a regular gardener who could make the repairs on his next trip.  I thanked him for the speedy trip, and asked him how he'd like to settle up, i.e. credit card, check etc.  He said, "If your gardener can do the repairs, then don't worry about it, you don't have to pay me, I was right here."

He and his crew showed up everyday on time, & cleaned up when they were done (every day), and he was very concerned about making sure that we were happy with the way the job came out and they finished days ahead of estimated time to complete.
