"David showed up on time each morning. His crew did a great job. He was willing to add some detail on my back patio that was previously not negotiated and it looks great! He also took this job when others felt it was too small to do and on top of that, he gave us a fair price. Thank you David and crew. I would highly recommend Odell complete concrete. <br />"

"Our family interviewed a couple of contractors to help us remodel our guesthouse. From the start, Guy came with a professional and exciting energy that made us feel comfortable with going with Builderzz. Guy was upfront about what he thought was possible/safe and you knew he was paying attention because he never missed a detail! Although Builderzz was not the lowest quote, we appreciated the reasonable, itemized and thorough estimate! For this particular project, we had our guesthouse's kitchen, flooring, and bathroom redone. The remodel looks immaculate! The best part about working with Guy and Builderzz Remodeling was their dedication to quality and speed (it was not one or the other). I've worked with other contractors and they were NEVER on schedule. I was shocked at how quickly they moved through the house. However, I also really appreciated Guy's dedication to quality. Our piping was completely outdated and Guy automatically updated the piping because his team didn't feel comfortable with the old piping (I LOVE THAT!) On top of that, Guy was great about communicating timelines, expectations, and questions with me. I'm usually at work during business hours so Guy was great through e-mail and text which I really needed to complete this project. With any project there can always be hiccups. Guy and team never try to deflect blame or make excuses. I think this is extremely important and speaks volumes to their character. Guy always tries to make all things right. This is why I will be working with them again in the future! Do not hesitate to give them a call!"

"Chuck installed three security doors, painted an interior room and fixed several other items. He works fast, does clean work, always shows up on time, and makes sure everything is complete. And he is so knowledgeable in his trade and very hard working! I am so happy that have already booked Chuck for bigger projects for next summer!"

"Tom, the owner, is extremely professional.  He has done work for me before (backyard gate and concrete installation).  I contacted him about this situation and he came right out to help.  I had to nudge them for a quick estimate, but it's a small inconvenience considering the trust I have in this company.  Brian, his worker, came right on time, was friendly and ready to work, did a FANTASTIC job, cleaned everything beautifully, and made my kitchen look just like I wanted.  I will ALWAYS call this company first from now on.  And in case you're wondering who treated me so unprofessionally with my kitchen remodel?  Imperial Remodeling.  Never hire them. <br />"

"We chose Built Strong Construction to do our Earthquake Bolting job and are very impressed. We were approved by the city to had 3 different companies offer estimates and service. Built Strong was by far in another league, they provided before and after photos, obtained the permit and submitted to the city on our behalf. They did all the leg work, made the process seamless and updated us through each step. We are so thankful for their customer service, great work and time. They provided a 30 year warranty and with their help weve received $3,000 reimbursement from the city. Thank you so much Built Strong Construction."

"What can I say? Asher is the best! My wife and I have been dealing with horrible contractors for a while and we can never find one that listens to us, makes us feel trusted, and follows through. But we got so luckily we found Vision Remodeling. Asher spent over 4hrs just to just to get to know us and how to better serve us. He also was very attentive to all our needs throughout the process. He listen to our ideas and gave us a ton of options from a stylistic point of view to what's best for the money. To top it off he gets the project done fast! Without a mess. He also comes out after the project is done to make sure you are completely happen with the result. We had very minor touch ups, which we were accustom to just do it our selves, nope not Asher. He saw the touch ups and took care of them himself. This is definitely high quality service and I strongly recommend him for your home improvement investments!"

"The changes were phenomenal!  Our bathroom was over 30 years old.  Now <br /> as senor citizens we needed to completely modify our bathing area.  Out <br /> came the "over-sized" man made 750 gallon bathtub to a totally flat area <br /> where we just walk in and out of the shower without any curtains or <br /> shower doors, and a new "walk in" bathtub off in a corner, and the most <br /> amazing arrangement of different coordinating tiles on the walls and <br /> floor!  I might add here that we are talking about 140 square feet area! <br /> Rayshon has a very keen eye for design and layout.  <br /> He and his crew were on time every day, cleaned up after themselves every evening, and very professional in every area. <br /> I would strongly encourage people to use his services, and would also do so again myself!!!  I only wish I could leave pictures! <br />"

"Jaime was great! He suggested that we add cement to both sides of our walkway to accommodate a shed, which was a great idea ! Even adding more cement, his quote was less than other quotes I had received. They had to dig a trench for the sprinkler pipe to go under the cement, replace and repair a fence post, and remove a ton of rocks. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was on time and very clean. I would highly recommend him to anyone. <br />"

"So great. Great and quick communication and quick service. Came and did what they said they were gonna do and had it done BEFORE they said it was going to be done. There was no time wasted. Guys came in their company cars, worked, took their lunch, came back and continued until days end. I was quite impressed with the amount of work they completed and how well they did it. The owner came to check on the job and they cleaned up very well at the end of the day. We have had a lot of work done at our house over the years, and they are by far the most efficient, clean and professional. This was a patio replacement. We had an old steel patio and they replaced it with a stunning white aluminum patio, with two fans and an attached gazebo with carriage lights. It is stunning. They went above and beyond on design. The price was also comparable to other estimates i received for just the main patio with no gazebo. So I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Will definitely have them come back to do a full backyard remodel."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Mountain-pass, CA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
