"Overall great job.  Answered my questions about up-charges beyond standard colors before purchase.  They made an appointment after we purchased the deal and came out and confirmed size and color (which ended up being a really close match to the rest of the house).  They then came back and Installed a new granite countertop and back splash in our office.  They were very conscientious about our back wall not being completely straight and asked about it before installing the back splash.  Job looks great and really finished off the new cabinets in our office.

"I used Gil a few years ago to deal with water damage in my home from a leak in the roof and cracks in the foundation. I was so pleased/satisfied/totally blown away by his workmanship and professionalism that I called him immediately to get a quote for replacing my termite-damaged front porch. Gil came out immediately to inspect, and before he could even put his proposal together (much less have a contract in place) he returned the same day and shored up the porch that had severely damaged posts. This was “so that he could sleep at night.” Needless to say, Gil is a consummate professional. He and his crew demolished the entire porch, rebuilt it, painted it, and installed new gutters in under 4 working days. I also asked him to replace a small flat roof portion of my house, which he thankfully finished in 2 days during the heaviest rainfall season in memory. "This was an experiment for me in use of an interior designer online.  THe consultant was helpful in directing me to useful websites to review products and encouraged me to look widely and that was useful. Otherwise I found it difficult to use her services. The online aspect is one reason - looking at colors, e.g. wall colors and considering them for a particular space is difficult to do given than monitors and lighting change the look of things. Also, one cannot get the sense of e dimensional space from 2 dimensional tools
 In addition,  she was only allowed to advise me on one room and I have an open space that includes living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which had to be considered together. It was frustrating that she was not allowed to think about the other spaces when I had to think about all of them together.
The designer pushed me to choose a rug before choosing living room furniture but I preferred to choose the furniture first as it is more difficult to replace.  She was not able to be flexible on this account. Also, when I did not seem interested in buying through their service she seemed to loose interest.
It often took several days for the consultant to get back to me. That is the area where I most fault the individual as opposed to the set up of online consulting. 
In the end, I made my own choices and am happy with them. The experience gave me more confidence in my own instincts.

She provided two complete design layouts as options to choose from before further design work was done. After one was selected, she provided great ideas for furnishings (with distinct measurements,)
appropriate for the setting , accessories, and even paint colors, and samples to work with.
It was a great help to have her assist me, giving me confidence to move forward with furnishing our new home.
I would never have anticipated that one could be so effective with design via email!
