"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"The job above was pretty simple and now that I've seen him do it I can do it myselt.  I could have done it myself and figured it out but wanted a quality lock and matching and I didn't know how involved it was.  Chris has also done much more complicated projects for us like rebuilding a broken pocket door and repairing a faulty shower valve I couldn't figure out how to get into and patching a leaky roof (harder than it sounds to find source of leak) and associated drywall with texture matching and repairing a collapsing fence.  He is slowing correcting all the builder mistakes and shortcuts in this 2008 spec home and I have never been disappointed.  He is always very reasonably priced. He does not take on work he is not competent taking on.  He will refer to others when a specialist is needed and will tell you he doesn't know who to call when he doesn't have particular confidence in a specific person in a given trade.  He does not mark up the cost of parts.  I highly recommend him.  But don't expect him to come to your place right away.  He is usually scheduled a few days to a week out. <br />"

"<p>Service was great!  Granted my problem was a no-brainer for the repair team and even I could have fixed the problem, there was no way I was going to mess with my major appliance.  Apparently my water filter connection alignment was off.  Repair team showed up at beginning of service window.  Service was quick and professional.  I would use Cody's Appliance Repair in the future for sure.</p> <p>The only thing I wasn't aware of is that if I were to use a credit card for payment, I would have been charged 3%.  This may be stated somewhere related to Cody's Appliance Repair but I never saw it.  Not a big deal; I cut a check and only had to pay the $79 for the service call.</p> <br />"

"My rinse and spin cycle stopped working, so I began to investigate my options through Angie's List......the company w the most "high" reviews is where my search began.....I felt very uncomfortable w the "top rated" company, because the reviews (in my opinion) were so happy and there seemed to be an unproportionate amount of exceedingly high reviews.....so, I left "Angies's List" and decided to just "Google" this site......I'm soooo happy I did this.....the reviews were COMPLETELY opposite of what the "List" said.....it's as if this company pays for reviews! I then came across "Western Appliane Repair" and did the same searching.....the reviews seemed even in tone, so I went w my gut and called them....I couldn't have been happier, except for the price, which wasn't the fault of the repairman.....he showed me the rotor and it was destroyed.....and explained how it worked and why it was worn down so much. They just don't make washers like the old days! He ordered the part and returned a few days later.....Rich was on time, professional and friendly! I felt like my problem mattered and he was totally invested while in my home! I wouldn't hesitate to call him 1st thing when another problem arises..... No one wants a repairman and no one wants to pay so much to fix them.....but, I feel my experience was seemless and fair! I was comfortable w the entire process! <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Nampa, ID

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
