"On Top Roofing was great. Tim came to quote the work and asked what I wanted and offered excellent suggestions. He wanted to vent two bathroom fans out through the roof to reduce the moisture buildup in the attic. No other roofer even mentioned it. He also wanted to replace all drip edges and re-led the chimney. Several others wanted to reuse the exiting drip edges and led. Given all that his price was still very good. The job took two days. His crew was efficient and the roof looks great. There was a supervisor (Mike) on the job the entire time who ensured everything went well. They had one guy who did nothing but clean up constantly. So the yard and surrounding area was always clean. When they left they swept, rakes and picked up everything. Very professional and courteous team in the field and in the office (thanks Kelsey). All this and a 10 year workmanship warranty!!!"

"This is the second time I use Vaillancourt Roofing, and they have always been exceptionally professional. Brad Entrekin, the salesperson I have always dealt with is wonderful: knowledgeable, patient, punctual. So have been the team that does the work. In this specific case, Nick and Jay did the installation of the gutters. Their work is impeccable. They are very respectful yet friendly. If I was doing gutters I would do all possible to get the Nick and Jay tea However, in order to reach them you would have to go through the scheduler. I understand that the schedule is necessary in order to make the best use of the resources possible however, that has to be tempered with the needs of the client. Case on point, day before the installation date I was informed that the installation had been cancelled "because one of the installers was sick" and the work was rescheduled for 12 days later. I spoke to the scheduler and he had no interest in whether I would be available, convenience or any other consideration of what the effect of the change could have on MY schedule. I just had to understand that people get sick. That is - an administrative problem of the company was suddenly on my shoulders. This gentleman is extremely rigid and unsympathetic. Chances are that the job could not be done before but a gentler approach with the client will take him a long way. In addition, his attitude really erodes the exceptional work of the field salespeople. It is then left on the shoulders of the installers, to fix with the client what the installer undid. Once again, Vaillancourt has, in my estimation, first class materials to offer, a splendid salesperson in Brad, and an impeccable installation team with Nick and Jay. So, go for it. More likely than not, you will not have to deal with the scheduler."

"I needed a full replacement of a ~20-25+ year shingle roof and solicited quotes from several roofers. My initial call was answered immediately by an answering service and I received a call-back later in the day from Todd, who scheduled a visit to my home a few days later to review the details of the project. The quote was returned promptly and while we had some back-and-forth over the need for some additional carpentry work around a dormer, I was certainly appreciative of the professionalism and thoroughness -- ultimately I decided to move forward with Ranch and was not disappointed. The project itself started on an extremely cold and windy day. I half expected a call saying that the conditions were too unfavorable for roof work, but the guys showed up right on time and I met the project manager (Dave) who gave me an overview of what to expect for the day. Most of the work was not only completed by the end of the day but all of the debris was promptly and thoroughly cleaned up by the time I returned home. The carpentry work was efficiently completed the following day and just like that, I had a new roof. Overall I was very happy with Dave, Todd and the rest of the Ranch team that worked on the project. "We have been in our home for 21 years and our roof needed to be replaced. I did my due diligence and received 4 quotes from HomeAdvisor recommended roofers (Asphalt shingles not metal since we will be downsizing in 2-5 years max.) A neighbor had moved in last year and had their roof done by Exteriors Unlimited, LLC. I decided to get a 5th quote. I received quotes from 5 GAF Certified roofing companies. Four of them ranged from $13,800 to $18,000 - all with very similar terms and warranties, with some variation on the cost of replacing plywood, if necessary. Several of them gave estimates of Good, Better, and Best. The difference of Best costing not very much more, and includes a netter roof ridge vent and upgraded breathable shield layer. They all included releading the chimney, replacing the second story bathroom vent, and full 8 in edge stripping. The other minor difference was the length of the labor warranty. Ironically the most expensive quote had the shortest (5 yr) labor warranty. Most were 10 years. The latest generation of GAF HDZ shingles has a 50 yr warranty and a 130 mph wind rating. (compared with 20-25 yr with asphalt shingles 15-20 yrs ago.) By far Exteriors Unlimited came in at $11,100 with the same terms. In addition, the work was professional, Chad was great to work with, and our 2400 sq ft home was done in one day (7:30 AM to 4:30 PM). When done, clean-up was exceptional. I think our Eagle-Eye 12 yr old grandson found only 1 nail and no other rubbish. Very Highly Recommend!"

"I heard about this company from Home Advisor. I got three names through the site and also contacted a fourth. Scott's Roofing was the first to come out. They were also the lowest bidder. Their proposal was also the most comprehensive and detailed. When Sean Nadeau told me they'd have it done in a day or two, I was sure there was no way. Our house is literally This Old House, and it's also 2½ stories. Not only was the roof (including two porch roofs) completely stripped the first day, the new roof was completely finished also. A second crew came out two days later and installed new gutters and were done in two hours. The roof looks beautiful."
