"I hired to remove my ceiling texture and paint in my living room and upstairs hallway. The upstairs hallway is technically not finished and there were a lot of damages done to my home. One man showed up to do the work. he did not really tarp off anything. He made a huge mess in the process covering my porch, new front doors, kitchen, and all my carpeting in dust. They had to sub out my project to another company. Mr Handyman paid a cleaner to come and clean my carpets. The company they used did not get the dust out of my carpet because a few days later I vacuumed and pulled out ~2 lbs of white dust from my carpets. They also tried to clean my front doors with cleaner that was too strong and stripped the finish on my doors. They paid a second company to come a remediate the floor work. They also restained my deck since we could not get the white cast off it. They terminated our relationship telling me to keep final payment. I was quoted over 9k, I paid ~4.5k and still have damages."

"We have a home that was built in 1930, that is loaded with charm but needed some adapting to our family’s needs. It had two too many doors and one large window that we never used because it looked directly at the neighbor’s driveway! We also needed to have new windows and floors installed, custom bookshelves built, and of course new paint. We decided to hire Fred because from Day One you could tell he was someone that was knowledgable and someone you can trust. Having someone you can trust to do projects in your home is so important because they become a part of your lives for at least a month or so! Fred took care of everything: the supples, installation, paint, and making sure that the brick installers completed the job successfully as well. I now have an office that used to be an “all weather” porch that I can actually be in all day, another office/second bedroom that has more wall space thanks to the seamless work Fred did in closing up a large window and door (not to mention it was with plaster!) He was really precise in doing “delicate demo” since we were trying to save as much of the old house charm as possible. We were even able to use one of the doors in my new office, and it looks beautiful. Cost wise, everything was up front and there were no surprises (even though he was very gracious about us adding items along the way (like extra plugs and installing a storm door). We also had our attic re-insulated and part of our floor lifted which Fred took care of as well. He communicated with us every step along the way, which is also so important. We hope to have a custom closet installed in the near future and will definitely call Fred to do that project as well! 10/10 recommend Fred Oakley for your home renovations!"

"A friend of mine who was very happy with their work recommended G&B Carpentry to me. I called on the weekend and had Lamar out on Monday for an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and professional. The estimate was detailed, and the prices were fair. The work began that same week with demolition and new drywall being installed. The work was well done and detailed. The project manager and I had excellent communication, and he kept me informed about the work that was being done. I had a couple areas where I requested some additional work to be done, and they were accommodating to my request. Everything was finished on time and with high-caliber work. I feel like G&B really worked with me as well as for me in the completion of my project. I am very pleased with all aspects of their work and excellent followup to ensure satisfaction. "Clint and his team were getting ready to start a minor renovation project when we had to pivot due to our house "getting flooded" due to backed up inlets in the street. I called our insurance, and their recommended contractor did not even call me back, but Clint and his team immediately swung into action and helped with the remediation and correcting the issue (cleanup, flood cuts, structure dry out, replacement of damaged walls, floors, millwork, etc.). I met with my Landscaper to review some extensive exterior work (storm erosion cleanup, correct leaning retaining wall, replace eroded stone areas and damaged rip rapped channel) and he could not get to it, but Clint and his team were able to get a crew out there immediately to correct these issues also. I would highly recommend Clint and his team at Mid Tenn Trades. Their attention to detail is superb."

"They came to my house to remove a tub and build a shower. Discovered water damage which increased the price, no problem. They replaced the water damaged flooring, HOWEVER, THEY FAILED TO ADDRESS THE SOURCE OF THE WATER DAMAGE. A couple months later while under the house I noticed water dripping around the shower area. We contacted Danny about it,he sent his crew out and they cut holes in the new sheet rock they had installed found the leak in the lines going to the shower. Replaced portion of both hot and cold lines. His guys told me that Danny said he'd invoice us later. For repairing a the original leak that caused the initial water damage that should have been addressed when they discovered the water damage. Now we have water damage to the new flooring they replaced and they refused to come back out and repair the holes they just cut into the new sheet rock. Don't let Danny fool you he is not the honorable man he leads you to believe he's more like a con man. I refused to pay him for sending his guys out to fix the original leak that had caused all the water damage to begin with. BEWARE OF GHIS BUSINESS AND DANNY HE'S A CROOK!!! AND A COWARD!!!!"
