In 1972, his son, Bobby Kimbro, started his own business, Kimbro Air after working many years in the family business. As Kimbro Air grew, Bobby passed his business ethic onto his son, Derek Kimbro. Derek built his knowledge in the heating and air conditioning industry enough to open his own company in 1996, Kimbro Services.
