"Alex and his team were absolutely fantastic! This was the second time I used them in the past year and they did not disappoint. I hired them to remove stone veneer around my foundation that was falling off due to poor workmanship from a prior contractor and then install new stone, as well as install bluestone on my front stoop. They were extremely professional and meticulous in completing the work. Their daily positive attitudes, attention to detail and cleanliness made them a pleasure to have around our home. They were always punctual, respectful and friendly, which goes a long way in enhancing the experience. Alex was adamant about providing the best service possible, and was never once rude or off-putting when I had questions. I can not say enough good things about him or his team. The out come of their work , is a beautiful , well made stone wall with a matching cap . They use the best Cambridge blocks. "An absolutely fantastic job by Ermir and his father in law, work team on the install of our patio, fire pit and stone wall. I went out for quote to four separate contractors for the job of extending my patio, instal/construction of a new fire pit and the new installation of a raised patio with stone wall for my new hot tub. The first 3 contractors literally spent no more than 20 minutes with me, gave me a quote and left. All standard type work - nothing out of the ordinary. Ermir was the last contractor that I met with. He spent over two hours with me going over the job, providing ideas and examples of his work and options that I did not even think of. That was the deciding factor in choosing him. Once the work started I was absolutely amazed at how hard they worked every day in 90 deg plus heat and the level of perfection that they put into the work. I was so intrigued by their skill that I could not stop watching his father in law while he was building our stone wall. I would go back to Ermir hands down for any future work. He always reached out to me to communicate status prior to the job and expectations going forward. He is the most honest, proffesional and hard working and the value he provided was incredible. "Hired Design and Build to install some belgian blocks as an edging for my driveway, specifically to help direct water run off, and eliminate a problem I was having. The two young men arrived on time, and did an excellent job figuring out what would be the best way to solve the problem. They carefully cut the edge of the driveway, dug out a trench, placed mortar, installed the blocks, and cemented in place. They also addressed other possible issues contributing to run off. They took their time and did a beautiful job aesthetically, and cleaned up everything in a very meticulous manner. I have not been having problems with run off since, and am very pleased with the work done. I would also mention that the workers were very well mannered and hard working, and the price was very fair."

"JOB: Brick wall/planter deconstruct and rebuild...no changes to the design. Mike was friendly initially and we had good communication...until we did not. We thought he was more experienced as a mason, but now we are not so sure. He made rookie mistakes, never completed the job, and now the mortar has cracked. I am not in the habit of posting reviews (good or bad) but I could not let this go. All Mike had to do for our job to be complete was the waterproofing. We have had holidays and bad weather since he finished the bulk of the work, but there have been multiple opportunities. We asked him the product he uses so my husband can complete this job, he never responded. We feel stupid for giving the final payment before the job was complete. Sadly, we trusted that he would come back. I even gave him a tip as it was before the holidays. It is difficult to find trustworthy contractors these days. We wish Mike no ill will, but cannot recommend his work."
