Small jobs welcome

"I called them at 7am and they had someone out at 8:30. I needed a completely new furnace and they stayed and installed our new furnace the same day! They were friendly, courteous, professional and fairly priced. I have 4 kids and two dogs and they made my wife feel comfortable being at home by herself while they were working in our home. I highly recommend 1st Action Plumbing, Heating and Air. Thank you for for helping us stay warm!"

"My old water heater went out yesterday and of course leaked water all over. I shut it off and stopped the leaking. Called early this morning looking for someone to install a new one. Jim was actually sent over by another plumber who could not get to my job right away. Jim showed up, looked at the job, we talked about the options and he gave me a bid. Let to get the new water heater. We back in about thirty minutes. He had to make some changes to the water and gas lines. Added shut offs and installed new one. Took the time to explain operation and maintenance of the new one. Cleaned up the work site. Removed all debris and old water heater. I was impressed with his work and his attitude.

"We had Lions Home Service come out and give us a quote on duct cleaning. Doug was prompt and considerate of our needs. He gave us a quote for duct cleaning and mentioned a few add ons and a flyer explaining those. We never felt pressure to get any add ons. Very considerate, friendly and prompt."

"Very quick, efficient, and polite. Four companies could not fix the problem and within an hour of evaluating our plumbing system Caleb came up with three possible issues. Laid out everything and allowed us to make the decision. Highly recommended!"

"We first worked with Josh, John, and team on a project they completed for our mother.  They did such an amazing job, we hired them to complete our home project.  After the death of my sister's husband, she had a lot that needed to be completed in her home so that she could sell it.  Josh, John, and team quoted a very fair price and did exceptional work.  They really went above and beyond showing compassion and ethics.  They are really a great team and they are very caring and show pride in their work.  We highly recommend them for any projects and hope to utilize them in the future."

"The technicians installing the water heater were very professional, kept me informed of what they were doing, and we amazingly quiet. I would recommend Precision Plumbing for your plumbing needs."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in New-Raymer, CO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
