"Initially, things went great. They were responsive on the phone and had all the paperwork my building required to start the work. There was some initial discrepancy in the scope of work but I take some of the responsibility for that since I wasn't double checking the exact wording on their estimate which was different from what we discussed in person and over the phone. Also, I never saw the main contractor I initially spoke at my job site. He should've been there to monitor the work and check in with me to see if the work was looking close to what I asked for. I told them from the start what I wanted and even showed them pictures of exactly what I was going for, the results were far different. They seemed to cut corners and take no pride in the work they completed. The bathroom work they did was so bad I now have to completely redo it. There are huge gouges in the floor. Throughout the apartment, the stain essentially looks like a bad uneven paint job. They even got it all over the baseboards. They clearly did not polish the floors enough because its rough everywhere. I paid over $10k for floors that look ugly and now there is nothing to do but cover them up with area rugs. Also, some of my personal supplies were missing but they did compensate me for it. UPDATE: After discussing my dissatisfaction with the results, NYC Stone care did try and figure out a way to make up for it and I appreciate their handling of the matter."

"AVSTEP was great to work with, the team started earlier than expected and completely fixed my foundation, not only with replacement block and cement, but added two different types of waterproofing as well. When additional wood rot was found on top of the foundation, they were able to repair that as well without adding more time to the project. The heavy brick and mortar waste from the building was promptly removed like it was never there. Would recommend AVSTEP for future building needs."

"I am writing this review to share my experience with Bryan owner of A1 Stone Care. I have granite countertops and a tile backsplash. I was stuck in a very upsetting situation as my old range died and all the replacements available today require a 30 inch wide opening (mine was 29 inches) and more depth than I had. A granite spacer needed to be removed. I was a stressed out wreck over it all. I reached out to various companies and Bryan was the only one who wanted to come to the house and see the issue vs give me a virtual estimate based on pictures and explanations. I understand that this is a small job for many companies, but that set him apart and was a MAJOR reason as to why I chose him. Very friendly and very neat. His price was VERY fair. He also reassured me that should my stove arrive and not fit for any reason, he would return to make it right. He wanted me to know he stands behind his work. Love that! "Marcos and Bruno Tile and Stone did a fantastic job on my shower! We had to take down a portion of our wall to access the plumbing beneath, and Marcos and Bruno did an amazing job patching the opening. They were extremely respectful of my time (always calling back and staying in touch as we worked around the plumber's schedule) and my home (taking off shoes and laying down floor coverings so there was no trace they'd been there). I would absolutely hire them again!"

"A couple of years ago we used Venezia tile to redo a bathroom. We loved how everything turned out. So when we decided to redo our kitchen, they were the first we called. We love our floor and backsplash. We used a herringbone style backsplash which was a lot more work than a typical subway tile. Andrea and his crew are extremely respectful and do amazing work. They lined up everything perfectly and took the time they needed to make sure the job was done correctly. They were very clean and hard working.
