We felt fully satisfied starting from the Owner Jason coming to quote the work to finishing the work, including a fence that had to be redone after another contractor. He not only quoted the total, but also provided the amount for each project separately (drainage using 4-6" rocks for a hillside patio, installing vinyl fence, installing wooden railing by steps down the hill) . He even picked up some needed material from the store. The Jason worked along side his coworkers who were all very professional as well. North Star's customer service was very warm and friendly. There is plenty of snow and ice at this time outside, so, I will provide some pics when the ground clears. In sum, I will gladly hire North Star for other projects and recommend to others looking for a reliable landscape and home services provider."

"Jon was very punctual and professional during his estimate visit. He's clearly very knowledgeable about yard plants, including many kinds of trees and shrubs. He came up with a good plan based on a combination of my desires and his recommendations. The work was done on time and to specification. The yard was cleaned up and the only sign that the team had been there were some tread marks in the soft turf - to be expected. The real test will be to see how the trees do over the coming year or two, but initial impressions are good."

Carole Robin is always on-site personally, and you'll find her digging into the soil along with her two- or three-man crew. She keeps the work site clean when they're done - and if you ask, provides great suggestions for annuals and perennials based on a lot of experience. I appreciate that, year over year, she doesn't just put a fresh coat of mulch on top of the weeds that are already fighting to take over the flower beds, but takes her time to get them out...and then covers it all with new mulch. In the past she's also dug out some shrubs that needed to go. She definitely does a much better job than I could do. Much appreciated."
