"Deck Guardian (DG) removed my old 600+ square-foot two-level deck and in its place constructed a new one using a similar layout. DG hauled away the old materials. I am completely satisfied with my new deck, which surpassed my expectation. I would rehire them for similar work and highly recommend DG to others. My only change is that I would require notice from DG before DG placed materials or a dumpster in my driveway. I was trapped in my garage for a day until DG made a path for me. This was a minor annoyance. During the sales process, a salesperson made stylistic recommendations, such as light-colored floorboards outlined with a darker color, which I accepted. He provided a detailed contract with pricing. Before the start of construction, I settled on a payment schedule for the contract. DG handled the permit process with my township. To begin the work, DG prepared a new blueprint. The upper surfaces of the deck were Trex materials and metal railings supported by a lumber base. I expect that this more expensive choice of surface materials will be maintenance-free. During the work, I could call or send email to the project manager and talk with him immediately or receive a call-back the same day. The two men who built the deck were meticulous and perfectionists. They courteously answered all my questions during construction. DG completed the deck within the time frame set out in the contract. They cleaned up all materials after they finished with construction."

"It went great. Eddy is extremely reliable and a pleasure to work with. The members of his crew are all highly skilled, professional and friendly (and none of them smoked, either inside or outside the house!). The workers show up on time each day, their pride in their work is evident, and they clean up after themselves before leaving. Eddy's quoted price was much lower than any of the other contractors/vendors I contacted. You should know that selecting and purchasing the materials is your responsibility - Eddy is happy to recommend sensible and cost-effective local suppliers. All told, the total cost of my remodel including materials (tub, vanity, tiles, vanity) was about $8K - still a great deal for a full 8x7 bathroom remodel (one quote I received from a different contractor was for $8K and that was to only replace the tub and install an acrylic surround!). I highly recommend ETC and have already referred Eddy to 2 friends. Note: the photo with the yellow tub is the Before photo!"

"I don't typically do online reviews but I was compelled to do so here because I was so impressed with the level of service. I found D&S on Angies List and I usually have my doubts about what people say but in this case I was not disappointed. Don the owner was very responsive and attentive to my needs from the start and was able to meet very quickly. He went about things in a very professional and thorough manner even during the estimate stage when he brought additional experts with him to assess and everything was measured from the start to get me an accurate quote. He made sure to have the right people with him that were experts in masonry vs planting to make sure we had all angles covered. He was listening to what I wanted but he also offered up his advice and recommendations if he didn't necessarily agree which was refreshing. The actual quote came back to me within a week and it was very detailed outlining every step of the project and every individual plant he would be including - so it was full transparency. In terms of price - all in it was very fair and maybe even a little less than I expected to pay. We ended up putting the brakes on this project for the season but when we're ready, Don @ D&S would be our first call. Definitely a very solid business with good people working that you can get comfortable with very easily. In my opinion, they are definitely deserving of top consideration for any landscaping project in the area."
