"My girlfriend and I recently contacted All Service Moving to help us relocate our furniture from Seattle to Lake City, and the service from them was amazing! Brad and Donald were personable, professional, speedy, and thorough. I definitely recommended their service if you need lots of stuff moved quickly and hiccup-free. They wrapped everything up nicely (they were also very handy with their bubble-wrap, even using it as a doorstop when going in and out for easier access), deconstructed furniture with ease, and overall made the job look so easy!"

"They moved me in a snow storm. They shoveled my driveway without complaint to get the ramp in. There were no losses or damage. And they were really nice! I’d hire them again in a heartbeat."

"I spoke with Brandon right after submitting my request. He was very helpful in explaining how the whole moving process in today?s market works and gave me the tools I needed to make an educated decision, but ultimately, I decided it was in my best interest to do the move myself with the U-Haul, but I didn?t want to leave them a good review because Brandon?s helpfulness and thoroughness on explaining everything really helped me making a smart decision"

"OM VANLINES moved my parents from Florida to North Carolina. I didn?t realize my parents had much more items that they initially mentioned. The price did go up but they honored an additional discount to help. The shipment was picked up on Monday and delivered by Tuesday. It was an additional cost but the service was amazing and my parents have all their belongs to be comfortable. Thank you and we will be calling soon to move our selves closer to my parents."

"This moving company did a great job . Firom the initial contact with customer service to set up my move they were very professional, answering all my questions even after calling them multiple times. Working with this company was very easy and pleasant. The actual movers were courteous and pleasant and they respected the items they were packing and they did an excellent job. The cost of this movie was quite a nice surprise and very affordable . I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family."

"Anthony and his team helped with my long distance move today. They were organized and very careful with all my stuff. They even helped me dispose of large items when I wasn't expecting them to. Moved from a 640 sq ft to a 750 sq ft one bedroom in under the expected time. I'm recommending them to others and myself for if/when I need to move again."

"The South Windsor Admiral group was amazing. They were a family unit, very professional, and couldn't have been any better to work with. They stepped in when we were in a bind, and really saved the day. I would recommend them wholeheartedly- just make sure you are getting the South Windsor group. Here's the back story. Unfortunately, the week before, Angie's List hooked us up with an Admiral Moving Van franchise supposedly from New Haven, and they were an absolute nightmare. Their estimator came out, gave a good quote, and we signed the contract. On moving day, a group of guys from Brooklyn showed up with 2 generic Avis box trucks (totally inadequate for moving an entire household), no uniforms, and came into the house and told us the move would be twice the price as the estimate and take 2 days. When we called the estimator back he wouldn't return the call. We spoke to their boss in NJ (phone call), and he actually cursed at my husband, threatened to pull his group out, and hung up on him. We worked out an agreement for the day. The movers left a large hole in our wall, taped our furniture which ruined the finish on some pieces, and when we paid with a bank check after the first truck was unloaded, they got angry that we wouldn't give them cash (can you say "avoiding paying their Connecticut taxes- they were based in NJ) and just dumped all the rest of our stuff in the garage and left. We will probably be reporting them to the state regulatory agencies. Again- make sure you get the South Windsor group- they were amazing. I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

FAQs for out-of-state moving service projects in New Hartford, CT

How much money you need to live comfortably in Hawaii varies based on your housing preferences, transportation needs, and lifestyle. Many residents find ways to manage on moderate incomes by choosing less touristy neighborhoods and adapting to local living patterns. Creating a detailed budget that accounts for housing, transportation, groceries, and utilities provides a clearer picture of your specific requirements.

Living in Hawaii on $3,000 monthly is possible with careful budgeting and lifestyle adjustments. Success largely depends on housing costs, which vary significantly between neighborhoods and islands. Many residents find shared living arrangements or smaller accommodations in less expensive areas help manage expenses. Prioritizing necessities, limiting dining out, and embracing local recreational options that don't require significant spending can help stretch your monthly budget while still enjoying island living.

The hidden costs of moving to Hawaii often include unexpected shipping surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, and initial setup expenses. Many newcomers are surprised by delivery access fees for difficult locations, temporary accommodation needs while waiting for household goods, and higher utility deposits. Island-specific expenses like specialized pest control services and humidity-resistant storage solutions may also become necessary. Building a contingency fund of 10 to 15% above your estimated moving budget helps accommodate these unforeseen expenses.

How long it takes to ship household goods to Hawaii depends primarily on your chosen shipping method and departure location. Standard ocean freight often requires three to six weeks from mainland ports, with shared containers sometimes taking longer due to consolidation schedules. Air shipping dramatically reduces transit time to days rather than weeks, but at significantly higher cost. Many residents adopt a hybrid approach, sending essential items by air while allowing bulk possessions to follow by sea.

Whether you need special permits to move to Hawaii depends on the possessions you’re bringing. While American citizens don't need immigration documentation, certain items face strict regulation. Agricultural products, plants, and some animals require special permits or inspection certificates. Vehicle importation requires specific documentation and potential emissions testing. Large shipping containers may need delivery permits in certain residential areas. Consulting with transportation specialists familiar with Hawaii's requirements helps avoid compliance issues.

The items you’re prohibited from shipping to Hawaii include numerous plants, seeds, and fresh produce that might introduce invasive species to the islands' delicate ecosystem. Certain animals face strict prohibition, particularly snakes and other potential invasive species. Hazardous materials, firearms without proper documentation, and controlled substances cannot be shipped. Review current prohibited items lists from shipping companies and Hawaii's Department of Agriculture before packing, as regulations can change, and violations may result in significant penalties.
