"Sergii was very professional, flexible, communicated well, and was able to pull off my vision for a black marble fireplace without cracking a single piece of tile. He was also able to see and fix problems from previous renovated areas of the project so that installation would be safe and last. He was very upfront about cost and let me know about the price of materials before starting his work. And he kept his work area very CLEAN!! I was overall very impressed with his expertise, Iâ d recommend him to anyone."

"Amazing system! Did a lot of research on alarm systems....so glad I went with 1st security! They came to my house and explained everything to me, were not pushy at all. Came and installed the system a few days later....took the time to explain everything to me and did an amazing job with the installation. And the price is excellent, both the installation fee and the month to month. So happy with my decision."

"It was great!!! I bought the service and was contacted less than 2 hours later. Jeff was able to schedule me the same day (ahead of the incoming storm). He was professional, courteous and on time. He did the check, spotted a minor problem- a nail hole in the roof. He sealed the spot and gave my roof a clean bill of health and me peace of mind. He did not try to "manufacture problems" or up sell me on something else. I would high recommend Mighty Hands Roofing."

"After getting 3 estimates on the installation of vinyl on the trim of my brick house, I decided to hire Ronnie and I am so glad that I did. Not only was his quote much lower than the others, the workmanship of Ronnie and his crew was superb, the consideration and respect which they displayed was impeccable, and the commitment to doing the job right was evident when they had to redo something they were not completely satisfied with and do it over at their expense. The crew installed new carport lights for me but did not charge me for their labor. They cleaned up the debris from the job and made sure things were back in place. I am totally satisfied with them and their work and will hire them again in the spring to install new windows. Ronnie is a man of integrity. He says he is a Christian and he exhibits the qualities you would expect from a Christian (honesty, respect for others, etc.) I highly recommend him and his crew. If you hire him, you won't be disappointed."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in New London, NC

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
