"100% SATISFIED. Andrew C. Is a professional who takes his workmanship seriously. He was prompt, pleasant and and very patient with us. He went over and above to find us the materials we were happy with for our retaining wall, which looks amazing. His craftsmanship, artistry and precision doing our job was outstanding. Andrew is an asset to the company and I will be recommending your company and Andrew to my Family. Friends. And Neighbors. Thank you Andrew for a awesome wall and a pleasant experience. " Beyond Beautiful! If you’re looking for a great renovation with a great experience look no further. We did a consultation with Dion he came over we thoroughly discussed the plans of what we wanted done. He then advised us what could/should be done to achieve the desired look and brought the plan to life! He’s extremely knowledgeable in his field. Even though I’ve had work done by him before which was amazing for some reason this project literally blew my mind! He took our vision to a whole new level! Our family space has now been redefined and become our favorite place in the house. The custom staircase and spindles really set the stage! Not to mention the custom wall speakers, fireplace, and landing area. Photos really do it no justice! We were very pleased with the completion time as well as the cleanliness once everything was completed! Highly recommended! "

Our goal is NOT to make old pieces look new. When a piece of antique furniture is correctly restored, it will convey a sense of its history and charm. It will gracefully reflect its age. The best kept secret about antique furniture restoration is that often, doing less is best.

"I paid an excessive amount of money to replace the heating system. The sales rep gave us comfort that everything will be done right and the two experienced and fully licensed professionals will be doing the work and that there is a no-excuse warranty, 1 degree guarantee, and 10 years on both the service and hardware. It just so happened that after the install, I told the installer I smelt gas and to check everything. He simply waved it off and said it's fine, give it some time. I told AJ Perri multiple times that there is a gas leak and I asked them to rectify the situation. I called them multiple times to send someone to fix the issue immediately and urgently, but they refused to commit to any resolution and won't send anyone until the gas is turned off for the whole building. I explained that its a condo and that the unit itself in the utility closet has a separate gas shutoff valve. Knowing this, they refused to remediate the gas leak."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings installation projects in Newark, DE

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
