"For specific projects there was no choice for emergency or burst pipes and that's what we had. We had a pipe burst in our garage, and it was flooding the garage. We had to call the non emergency dispatch to see if we could get help turning off the main water valve; it was frozen. The dispatch told us that there were approximately 10,000 people without water due to bursting pipes. We had contacted them because we couldn't get the main shut-off valve off due to it being frozen, and someone from the city water came to our rescue as well. Considering our garage was flooding. Technician snaked a neighboring pipe to see if there was a back door into the suspected catch basin, but no luck. Next step: find someone to dig up the old basin then install a sump pump w. basin."
