"Mark Vachon isn't just a contractor, he's an artist! He had previously done a built in lovely shelf wall-unit for us, as well as replaced doors and windows for us. He's always prompt, professional, and brimming with ideas. We liked him immensely and knew he was the one to ask when we had a plan for a finishing touch on our family room that we weren't sure could be done. We asked him to create a book case that looked like a silhouette of tree. What he built, with just a picture of a leafless tree and a conversation with us, so exceeded our expectations that we are still giddy over it almost 3 months later. We're buying first editions of our favorite books to dress its shelves because nothing else is worthy of it. It's 14 feet tall and incredibly sturdy. Mark bent each branch to give the bookcase the graceful appearance of an oak tree. It was also textured to have the appearance of real bark. Every last detail shows Mark's incredible skill. The quick melting caused snow and ice to slide swiftly off of our roof ripping our gutters down in the process. Another text to Pete - he responded same day - from New Zealand, on vacation! That was on a Sunday. By Wednesday he (still in NZ) had a contractor crew to our place to pull all the gutters down, clean them up, and re-install. Twice Golden."
