Communication was outstanding and there were zero costly "surprises". He and the gentleman that worked for him were both very friendly. They went above and beyond to keep the construction mess to a minimum and performed a thorough clean-up at the end of every workday. This left spaces that we were not able to seal up. They came out and made them functional by eliminating any drafting or water leaking issues we had as well as trimmed the outsides so they looked like the rest of the house.

"I contacted Steve at Texas Roof and Fence last fall to get bids on my house and a rent house that had hail damage.  he was very responsive to those requests and quickly got me a bid.
I'm probably not the easiest customer to do business with and I wasn't thrilled with some of his terms and conditions so he agreed to changes I requested.  I'm not sure why but it took a few months to get his signed agreement back to me.  My impression is Steve has a lot of balls in the air and sometimes thinks he has done something he hasn't. 
The roof replacement was done last week.  I am still waiting on the barn roof and gutters which were supposed to be done this week but it's not looking like they will be.
Steve set a high bar and high expectations committing to cleaning up daily which his team didn't do.  He also told me when they cleaned up it would be spotless which it wasn't.   Steve said it was unrealistic to expect they would get more than 99% of the nails, etc.
He may have done better than most roofers would have.  I had high expectations based on the strong reviews he had on Angie's List and in Denton and his representations which fell a little short.  Not sure how much of that is because my expectations were too high and some because his crew or he didn't do what he said they would.

"First they did more, than the choice I was given;my wife passed away and we had plans on a kitchen remodel, floors , paint and carpet, also some windows and doors. And I showed him the plans she had, and the colors and what we were going for, Metroplex came in and took the house that was stuck in the 80’s and brought it to modern day. The crews have attention to detail and do things in areas that no one will see, they are not the cheapest, but quality is not cheap! I was keep informed of all steps and they made a stressful time as easy as possible."
