"One time, professional, competent, and reasonably priced for services rendered. Cost was approximately 1/8th of what the only other company to show up quoted (they refused to do any work without a “mandatory”complete panel upgrade). Thanks!"

"MarkGen Electric did an excellent job upgrading my electrical panel and installing an air compressor in my garage. The work was clean, well-organized, and clearly explained from start to finish. They handled the panel upgrade professionally and made sure everything was safe, code-compliant, and ready for future use. The compressor install was done right the first time, with attention to detail and proper setup. I highly recommend MarkGen Electric for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work."

"Went great. The electrician showed up right on time, reviewed the work and got it done. Fan looks really good. Electrician gave good advice on both a cable matter and whole home surge protection and I am having them come back to install that. (Power surge killed my original rung doorbell it’s last sad picture was of a stormy sky)"

"I have had the best experience with Martinez Wood Floors.
They are honest, responsible, and caring. When we moved into our home, we
thought we were going to have to replace the floors in the entire house because
that was the opinion of a flooring contractor that gave us an estimate; his
price was extremely expensive because it included purchasing new wood for a
house of 1700 sf approximately and the cost of the installation plus many other
details he was adding to the quote. Of course we were not happy with that idea
because we had a budget for the floors, so we started looking for another
company to have a different opinion. It was then when we found Martinez. When
Martinez Wood Floors came to provide the estimate, the owner said that the
problem with the floors could be fixed with a hard sanding, which made us
realize that other company was trying to steal money from us by pushing for
things that did not need to be done. We didn?t look for anybody else, we just
knew Martinez was the right company for the job and we were right.
They started working
early, not like other construction companies that start functioning at 11:00
a.m. The employees are very knowledgeable, respectful, and honest; most of the
time they were working alone in the house and we never had any problems. There
were some damaged planks which they replaced at no extra cost to us. At first,
we did not want to apply any stain to the floors because we wanted it natural
but then we changed our minds. They were very accommodating and did over 5
samples for us to pick the color we liked. Adding stain was an extra buck, so
it was not expensive at all. Jobsite was always clean and owner does care about
details. If you have any questions or there is something that is not being done
to your liking, you can talk to the owner and he will make sure it gets fixed.
They use environmental friendly products, which it was very important for us.
Communication is great, we were constantly informed of the progress and if
there was something that needed to be changed, the owner would always ask us first.
I am very grateful to Martinez Wood Floors for the way they advised us about
the floors and for the great job they did on my floors. Our hardwood floors
look amazing and shiny like if they were new. ,y in laws will be doing their
floors with them as well and I would recommend Martinez Wood Floors to
homeowners like us that are looking for an honest, fair, and experienced
flooring professional. They truly make the difference in Miami?s hardwood
floors.

"Brandon Bing and Steve Lorenz are owner-operators and I found both of them to be skilled in their trade, honest and hardworking The installation of the water heater and solar panels went well and any bumps were smoothed out. I am initially disappointed in the Solar array's electric impact but I have a few trees that I need to take out and I still need to get my FPL net metering installed. At times I am producing more than what I consume so until I get net metering installed I cannot capitalize on overproduction. These comments are in no way a reflection on All American Solar for their work ethic or products. In fact, the array is expandable so that I can add more panels in the future. The Solar hot water heater is fantastic and has saved me about $60 per month off my electric bill. I would gladly recommend All American Solar for your solar panels or a solar hot water project and I would hire them again."

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Nocatee, FL

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
