Their finish work is outstanding – as good or better than new construction. They refurbished our vintage 1980 condo from top to bottom and made it look brand new, ready for us to move in. They sealed and painted ceilings, removed wallpaper, patched drywall, painted all walls, doors and casings, put in new baseboards, tore up tile and carpet, leveled the slab and installed vinyl planking and soundproofing. Along the way, at our request, they added a pocket door, painted the lanai, reset can lights in the kitchen and replaced wire shelves. They kept the site organized and left it neat and tidy. Dealing with Lisa was a pleasure. She worked with our association to meet all its requirements. She sent us to a source for flooring that saved us considerably over the retail stores we had been shopping. If we couldn’t reach her, she usually returned our calls within an hour – incredible in her business. She was responsive, direct and flexible even when resolving issues that inevitably pop up in big projects. Her original quote reflected concern about wallpaper that had been painted over in the kitchen. Turned out there were three layers there and another unexpected one in the bathroom, all of which took much more time to remove, but because she identified the potential problems up front, surprise was kept to a minimum. She also generously adjusted her rate for the extra work to keep the additional cost down. Before we hired Smith, we visited several previous clients and got the same story over and over: Superb work, reliable people, a fair price. Most had had Smith back for more work.
