Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.

"I had thought I purchase two hours of electrical service only to be informed that the actual work scope was essentially limited to changing light bulbs, fixtures on an existing circuit, or trouble shooting an existing problem....things that I can handle for the most part on my own. Even if I had all the materials to add a fixture onto an existing circuit, that was not considered part of the contracted scope. I also had been trying to arrange for someone to be home during period of time that service could be performed, and finally arranged for someone for an entire week (starting Monday 3/20) to permit the work to occur. "There was an unexpected charge for punching a hole in the drywall and installing a five foot copper wire from nearest light switch box to feed to each of the 4 lights. There was a second upcharge to convert from 6 inch to the modern 4 inch diameter LED lights (expected). Unfortunately one of the workers started his work early failing to understand that 4 inch was to be installed, he cut a hole for 6 inch. Now the drywall has to be patched to close the hole. They were punctual, fast & cleaned up. There is more work to do, ie convert existing 6 inch incandescent down lights on the lower two floors, those total to about 15. This work was done on the third level. I would re-hire if these things were addressed."
