"Overall, Wally and his crew did a good job at painting over 80% of our 4000 sq. ft. home's walls in five working days. Even more so when we added a very large room, bathroom, and small vanity to the project after the work had begun. They put plastic covers on furniture and wide strips of protective paper over many of the wood floors and proceeded to work non-stop for hours. The job required extensive drywall repair and multiple coats of paint, and work progressed into evening. Wally was exceedingly nice, as was his son and partner, Mufasa. They worked hard and were proud of their work. I don't give Splash of Colors a five-star rating because speed was accompanied by an undue amount of splatter and spackle dust plus a bit of carelessness. One of the workers painted white gloss paint over flat paint splatters They also didn't fully finish the powder room. It needed a lot of wall touch-up and the final coat of paint on the vanity. We have to finish it ourselves. We do recommend them."

"I just purchased a home, and initially requested a quote for interior painting of walls & ceiling. Eventually, I ended up using Jose's contracting services for a renovation of the interior of the house. The services included electrical, plumbing, tile flooring and shower replacement. I have used Jose's painting services a few times in the past for different properties, but this was the first time I used his contracting services. He installed recessed lights, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, dishwasher, bathroom vanity with top and faucet, toilet, porcelain tile flooring thru-out (1300sf.); replaced old shower walls & floor with ceramic tile, niche and glass inserts; painted kitchen cabinets and replaced exterior doors. His price was reasonable, and I was very satisfied with the outcome."

"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Grady's Painting and Plastering & Construction"

We contacted Bob Preast, CertaPro via Angie's List. We contacted several other companies also but selected Certa Pro , first of all, because of Mr. Preast's professionalism and knowledge of the business. He thoroughly and clearly explained the process, the paints, the staffing, the timing etc. He was the last company we met with and we were impressed with his efficiency in providing a clear, itemized, well-written estimate.  He also offered help in color selection and was easy to communicate with and available to answer our questions.

When the painting began, there was always a supervisor around to monitor the work. The workers were friendly and hard working. There was a problem obtaining the paint they needed (Mostly our fault since we were late in making a decision, also due to the fact that it was a holiday weekend and Fall when demand was high ) but, this problem was invisible to us because behind the scenes, they went to stores all over Tidewater to find the paint.  They finished the job in two days when we expected about three. 

The quality of the job is awesome. No mistakes in sight. A beautiful job. We are delighted. We will contact him in the future for additional paint jobs.
