"Connell Roofing completely replaced our roof in 2020 on a new purchase. The roof was covered in moss. Connell Roofing's sales person falsely represented to us that high end GAF shingle was warranted to repel moss, inducing us to pay thousands more than we were negotiating. Four years later the roof is growing moss and Connell Roofing denies making the false claims. Instead they charged us to come look and the roof and recommend we pay them more money to remove the moss from the roof. Connell Roofing has a fully staffed call center but instead of returning calls to try to address this situations, the president of the company would only email after business hours. After being left a bad review on Facebook, Connell Roofing is now manipulating its social media presence to hide the bad review. Connell Roofing has been reported to the BBB, the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, and the shingle manufacturer for make false and deceptive business practices."

Ken Cook has been installing residential roofs and ventilation systems for over 35 years. Cook's Roofing is certified by the Certain Teed Corporation to operate as a select shingle roofing company. This allows our company to extend material and labor guarantees for longer periods than the competition. Cook's has two crews and two lead roofers are certified Master Shingle Applicators. Our foreman has been employed by us for over 13 years. According to the building inspector's office, Cook's pulls more permits for roof construction in the town of Bellingham than any other contractor. In 1992 when many of the shingle manufactures were having trouble with their fiberglass shingles, the ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) developed testing for shingles that showed many problems with roof shingles. It was right then and there that Ken Cook decided to install the best shingles available and have quality that people could depend on; CertainTeed is the best company for their materials and warranties. They have taught us every aspect of the roofing industry from proper installation techniques to knowledge of how to know the difference between shingles that are of a high product quality and mediocrity. "Called On top roofing for an estimate, it took several weeks to get back to us, got the estimate and agreed to have the work done. A few guy showed up one day and started working, we were not notified they were coming to work,good thing we were here that day. They did the job and left without ever communicating with us about the work. We did a walk around and discovered that some of the work was not completed. So called the company back and the owner came out to look at the job, he said it would be about another $100. To complete. We were not happy because this was supposed to be in the estimate we agreed on. The workers show up again unannounced and did the job. We then received a bill for $200. More, again this was not what was agreed upon when talking to owner. We were hoping to form a relationship with this company for future work, but that's not going to happen, there was no communication and even with a written contract they will somehow charge you more than agreed on."

"Very disappointed. We asked for triple pane windows, and someone on their end ordered double pane. Luckily we noticed day of installation, and they had to re-order the proper ones we signed for. Finally the group of installers who came did a horrible job. Trash, insulation, and broken glass on our front lawn. Horribly cut wood trim that we had to redo ourselves. Poor sealing that we need to redo. Our hopper window was misaligned and couldn't close. The hinge arm on our casement window has detached from the channel. Communication is spotty from them, and sometimes we don't get an answer by call or text until we message repeatedly. It took over a year to have our project done from contract signing to end, and there are still issues cropping up. Out of the dozen of contractors we've hired the past year and a half, they have been the most disappointing and for what we paid, the quality of work was truly disappointing."

"Pushy sales. Started off high, reduced the price. Sales guy demanded to leave with a competitors written quote in order to obtain his lower cost ?! I then received a follow up quote regarding a "promotional discount". I said, great please forward me an updated price. I was told this couldn't happen unless the sales guy could come back, clearly it was all BS to simply get me in front of him again for another 2 hours to be pressured into buying. The girl on the phone continuously spoke over me, would not accept the word "NO" to the visit. In the end I had to hang up. This kind of tactic is not good for any customer, it's bullsh*t. So unless you're a fan of what I see as very manipulative behavior and poor sales ethics RUN, do not Walk away...RUN."
