"The boards on the porch of our house were rotting and needed to be
replaced, during the quoting process we decided on the materials to use we wanted Ipe boards (Expensive at $6.25 per linear foot ... but we felt well worth the price) Trust Builders LLC gave us the best quote of all received ranging between $13,000
to $22,000.  They came to our house after getting all of the necessary permits and arranging a trash skip.  Jim the foreman and master carpenter modeled supports for the roof that was sagging, removed the columns and boarding. 
The framing and footings under the porch were then inspected and found to be unsuitable for use.  Further funding was
required for the new footings and framing, these were added to the original quote of $13,000 and came to around $2000 (cost price for materials).
The porch was completed to spec and within budget within two weeks.
We are thrilled with the new porch and are probably going to hire Trust Builders LLC to build out our attic space."

"Where to begin....First and foremost, Karol is true professional and craftsman. I have never seen a contractor perform all the work in a home remodel before. Karol and his team arrived everyday at 8am and worked all day until 4 or 5. Many times they even worked on Saturday just to keep on schedule. Though his prices weren't the cheapest, he was still very competitive and the work he completed was simply superb. Being such a big project, I was a little worried about finding the right contractor. Luckily, KBK Construction did not disappoint. Karol was very easy to work with, even when a 60+ year old home threw him curve balls! Regardless, he did an excellent job completing the project and did not charge any more than he quoted. Many other contractors would have charged more for coming across the same unforeseen challenges. I could go on and on about what a great contractor and person Karol is, but I believe I made my point. "Jose Rodriguez was a basic carpenter. He used up 1/2 hour purchasing materials and I had to go with him to pay for them rather than reimburse him for the items. He had to pay him for the rest of the work which ended up costing over $300 for basic work that any handyman could have done. He left the wooden beam support with bracing and could not return until two days later and I was concerned that my large dog might get injured if she moved this. He left a heavy 2 foot 4x4 in my basement near the air conditioner; he also left the rotted roof support beam on my property which I had to dispose of. I kept the unused and cut wood that was purchased as I could cut it and re-use it elsewhere. I recently hired a real carpenter for replacement of my shed doors and he was a true skilled professional who came to my house and measured the wood needed and hardware and purchased the materials and had an assistant to help him do the work which was an excellent job. Quite a difference. Had I known I would have hired him to do the other work done previously and the cost for his work was at a much better price than the Angie's List "pro". No more Angie's List pros for me. Wherever do you find them and how do they get an A rating?"

He gave a detailed explanation of the work he would do and was prompt with his estimate. He was very personable and professional. He showed up on time and worked very efficiently with his crew.
