"It went fantastic! From my first contact with the company -- Mr. Register's receptionist was WONDERFUL. She made a great impression, and I was very happy to get a *human being* on my call, instead of a voice mail machine. She took my information and description of the problem, had a nice, pleasant voice, and let me know when I could expect Mr. Register to show up at my house. I felt like I would be taken good care of from the get-go. <br /> <br /> Mr. Register fixed my fridge quickly, vacuumed underneath and behind the fridge....showed me how to remove the plate shielding the underside of the fridge. He also gave me GREAT information about my fridge -- saying that it was a good model that would operate well for the next 10 years...and he gave me some very valuable background information on refrigerators and how and where they got manufactured in the past and where they get manufactured now. <br /> <br /> He told me that the older model Kenmores, like mine, used to be MADE IN AMERICA by Whirlpool for Sears. The old models were high-quality. He explained that now, the Whirlpools are made in Mexico, with flimsy Chinese parts, so it makes sense to keep the older refrigerators (and appliances in general) and get them repaired, instead of buying the new, inferior appliances. This was such a great and valuable tip that makes a lot of economic sense. He also pointed out that consumers can also save and get better quality by buying used appliances and paying to have them repaired or refurbished...as opposed to buying new and inferior products that were not made in America. <br /> <br /> I support AMERICAN manufacturing and jobs, and in hard times like this, I really appreciated the information that Mr. Register provided. He said that due to the hard times, he's had more business in the last 3 years than he's ever had before. It's smart to get well-made, older appliances repaired and keep them in working order. I felt really good about the decision to bring in Mr. Register. He saved me from having to replace my fridge -- a major expenditure -- and really helped me appreciate the refrigerator I have! <br /> <br /> I would definitely use Register Appliance Repair again. It's nice to be able to do business with a local, owner-operated company. I got such nice, professional and personal, friendly service....from start to finish...and my fridge is running GREAT!
