"I signed the contract 10/23/19 with an expected pick up date by the end of the month. Heard on 10/30 that the transport had broken down and needed repairs. Talked to contact on 10/31 and reviewed alternative arrangements. Second transport option bailed out due to an emergency. Third option discussed. 11/05. I followed up and was told a driver was on the way. Pickup occurred 11/7 and delivery was 11/12. I paid extra for door to door service, but the transport could not navigate the residential streets, so pickup was in a mall parking lot. For the money paid, things could have gone more smoothly. Communication was okay, but given the starts and stops more wold have been better."

He started the repair the following morning and completed it in stages (installation, filing, sanding, finishing ....) over the course of the day. Since it is a popcorn ceiling, he was also realistic about the probable success of painting/blending the repaired area with original paint job. He could have done his best and charged me - possibly still resulting in the whole ceiling being painted (that part of my ceiling runs the full length of the house across 3 living areas).
