Joe warned us about the what if scenarios with the condition of its initial assessment of not being in tune and the needs down the road that we would want to address to make it showroom quality. After working on ensuring that the piano was provided the needed attention, we only needed one follow up after initial settling. "If your broken home needs repair, he’s the man to see! No, not James Taylor although that would be nice. I am talking about On the Way Handyman and Steve Depalo. Here are the cliff notes. On time, trustworthy, respectful of person and property, efficient, keeps his word and goes the extra mile…he gives you an estimate and scope of work, then over delivers. Who does that? AND my husband offered to pay extra if he would let me help…he let me play at no extra charge. Just sayin’. Our home is freshly painted ceiling to baseboard, cabinets too. Lights, smoke detectors, window coverings, some drywall. The man is an artist! He turned an old beloved canvas (15 years since last painted…don’t judge me) into an entirely new and peaceful oasis of color and harmony. If you are in need of a handy and dependable man, I highly recommend On The Way Handyman. You will not be disappointed. He’s the type of guy you want to have around! "Rudolph arrived on time and was prepared to work the full day if needed to complete our projects. He has integrity! We had a laundry list of items to be repaired, and he let us know for several items on the list that we should hire another provider to complete the work. Some things he said he could do, but wouldn't do it as well as another professional. He even went so far as to provide us recommendations for who to call for a couple things (custom door weather stripping & ceiling fan repairs). We will be hiring him again later this year to repair and paint our fence/gates as well as install casters on a cabinet. The only reason I gave him a 'B' for quality was because one of our chair legs was repaired with a gap where there shouldn't be a gap, so the attention to detail on this repair faded. The quality of that work was not on par with everything else. He has promised to deliver puddy when in the area next since re-doing the repair may damage the chairs thanks to the wood glue. The wood glue overflow seemed excessive to my husband, but I believe that is normal and we were able to remove it once dry. The other 'B' for professionalism was regarding cleanup - which is one of my pet peeves with contractors. The keys to my back fence gate (which includes a house key) were left in the gate unattended during the day, and not returned at the end of the day. There were extra pieces of the chicken wire which we had to throw away. And the old chicken wire was thrown away in our recycling bin instead of trash bin."

We had been having trouble finding someone who would finish up the last details in a very small bathroom restoration in our 1962 home. We were using a flooring called Marmoleum that no one knew. Mike took the time to research the material and learn how to install it. He was a lifesaver. The bathroom looks great and much like it did when the house was built!"
