"When I called Dave to arrange for an estimate, he immediately asked if the drawer that had fallen apart was the silverware drawer. It was. He arrived to give me an estimate a couple of days later, measured carefully and took photos. Because the previous homeowner had purchased budget cabinets (particle board with walnut exteriors), Dave explained that it would be necessary to replace the drawers, and because of the age of the kitchen, there probably would not be stock drawers available. I was in agreement. He had both drawers replaced with maple, and I opted for a self-closing feature as a small luxury. I thought the charge was appropriate. I also asked Dave about replacing a hinge on one of the cabinets that gets a lot of use; he researched and found something similar (but not identical) online. This would have been acceptable, but then he suggested that ordering the similar hinge might not be necessary; he could swap out the problem hinges with a cabinet that was used much less-frequently. This was the perfect solution It took a couple of weeks for the drawers to be constructed, and Dave kept me updated about when I'd expect them. When he came to install them he again was right on time and measured again to ensure that they had been constructed as specified. I was extremely impressed with Dave's attention to detail, his punctuality, and his interim reports on when I could expect the drawers. I can recommend him without reservation."

This time it was a dry bar that he re faced with glass front cabinets. I am changing all the oak cabinets in my condo to maple. His schedule is busy..because he is so talented. His work is perfect. "The service so far is excellent, and I like working with him. He is in constant communication with me, if I send an email to him through Angie's List, he replies immediately, and he is very personable when you talk to him on phone. He was also very nice when he came to pick the doors. He is going to wait until I am back from vacation, and I told him there was no rush, and his wife is not feeling too well, so I understand, and he understands my situation. It has been good so far. He let me split the price up, because he took the shelves from the cabinet I want, and I paid him half, and when he finishes the rest of the vanity, I will pay him the other half. His responsiveness is excellent."

"Wow. He was prompt, efficient, no-nonsense, and personable. Yes it stinks for several days. It's not exactly "like new" in that, when the light strikes it you can see wavering, etc. But it is clean, white, and glossy. Looks great! It's hard to believe that they can do such a great job in place, and so quickly. He estimated 3-1/2 hours; it took a little under 3. He masked everything off (we just had the tile redone), and did a beautiful job. I do think $500 is kind of steep for 3 hours of work and a gallon of material or whatever. I far prefer this to replacing the tub though... the labor, the time, the mess, and the landfill space are not worth it, not to mention that a 1955 tub is higher quality than what we could get today for anything like the same price."
