"Excellent - Dave and his team professional and straight forward. From the initial meeting and all the follow-up questions, everything was thoroughly explained. He worked with us and kept us informed every step of the way. We visited his showroom to take a detailed look at the windows that would be installed (full size vs. sample). They worked hard to ensure they started and completed at the initial time that was committed. Smitty and Tom were very professional answering all my questions while they installed. All 15 windows were installed on the first day and all the trim was completed the second day. They cleaned up each day before they left. Finally the price of the job was very reasonable. We were very impressed from start to finish. My wife and I have shown the work to friends and family and family. We plan on using A-1 when its time to replace our front door and storm doors. When we have additional work to be done, we will be reaching out to Dave and his team as they were outstanding. A++"

"Troy answered his phone when he is able, otherwise we have left voice messages on his service. We gave him a "shopping list" of projects needed to be done on the outside of the house, which he said he will submit a quote on all projects. He did not send the quote on the day as promised but apologized when I called to ask when he will be sending it. The next day it arrived by email, and a couple days later I called to tell him what needed to be done at this time. Because of the weather he started a couple of days later. I provided the materials he needed. It took two days to do the selected projects. I was pleased with the work that he did. <br />"

They performed quality work with quality products, very professional, clean-cut, honest, efficient, fair price. We are very happy and highly recommend them."

"The carpenter was excellent - he completed everything and more. He even replaced some of the shingles attacked by the woodpecker on the outside of the house. If I need a carpenter again, I would definitely have him come back! The other young man was also good -- he did a nice job with the sheet rock but the plaster was protruding a bit even after we sanded it down. He was not able to place the radiator cover over the heating system in the bathroom but to his defense, I don't believe that was in his job description or area of expertise. Overall, we were pleased and Tracy was very friendly and made me feel at ease with all of my questions."

"Bruce does his own carpentry work and is very particular with how it should be done. The only time he wasn't on site was when his helper was painting or cleaning up. The site was left neat and clean every day and Bruce kept us informed of his progress either by talking directly to us or hand writing detailed notes with dates of expected completion. <br /> Goulart Construction had an excellent rating on Angie's List. We also had neignbors who hired Bruce to do a variety of jobs on their house. They are very particular and gave him a great recommendation. He may not be the fastest, but he is conscientious, neat and is satisfied with only the best work from himself and his staff. Part of the time we were out of town and had no hesitation leaving the garage door opener with him so that he could get in. Our neighbors had done this as well. <br /> It is so nice to find someone who is dependable and honest AND does a great job! We will have Bruce do other work for us in the future because he goes above and beyond. <br />"
