"I have had a home warranty plan with ABMay for several years and always get great service. Today Joshua White did my annual plumbing inspection and when I mentioned I'd be getting new toilets soon he let me know of the wonderful credit I had and the next thing I knew...he installed my 2 new toilets in record time today at a great price. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions( tolerated my puppy)as well as gave me information. Once again I'm very satisfied with this company and their technicians."

"Water heater in condo not working. Gray Wolf came out to measure the space so they could install the correct unit, did not charge for an extra service call to do this. We contacted them Monday morning and had hot water Monday afternoon, they came as they said and were punctual, polite and fully disclosed all cost (and potential adjustments) prior to their visit. We have used them in the past and are very pleased with their service, I highly recommend them!"

"The owner, Chad, was very friendly right from the beginning! He was flexible and willing to work around our schedule to meet with us. When the remodel started, Chad and his crew were great! Cody was the one who did most of the prep work at the beginning and he was always polite and very trustworthy. We were able to come and go during construction without hesitation! The rest of the crew were also friendly and polite. They always made sure to clean up each night! The entire project took a little over a week and a half and we were VERY pleased with the final result! We have a nice, modern kitchen now! Chad ensured us that if anything went wrong, even sixth months down the road, that he would be there to help! VERY highly recommend Chad and Renovation Pros!"

"The project took approximately 2 months. Quality and workmanship was excellent. They included one of a kind details such as curved drywall arch, curved soffit, and recessed lighting as well as a built in pool cue case. Allan and/or Chris were there every day except when waiting on granite. They have a great eye for detail. We are very happy with our basement finish and do not hesitate to recommend AA Construction to others."

"Our kitchen remodel turned out great ! This was our first experience with a major remodel and we couldn't have had a better experience. Tom drew up plans that worked with our budget and gave us good, workable ideas along with a detailed proposal. We were very pleased with the work done by Robert and Steve. They did a great job , were conscientious and went above and beyond in their work. Additionally, they answered all my questions and were fun to have around the house for a couple of weeks ! The remodel was done on time and we are thrilled with our new kitchen. I can highly recommend Jim Saner's Home Remodeling."

"It went great. They ran new lines throughout the house and took great care in making sure it worked as the simplest and cost effective install. All in one day to boot! If you have a project I would highly recommend A2B plumbing because the project will be done right and 24 hour service on the warrantied work for years to come."

"I was very pleased with the laboratory's responsiveness, in regards to answering questions I had about taking samples.  They were very good in communicating how best to sample the air on both the finished and unfinished sides of our basement.  However, where I was disappointed was when I received the literature inside the package, it stated that I could not attach any paper or label to the vials, to indicate from where the samples were taken.  In effect, even though I had stated on the paperwork, that one vial was placed in the finished side of the basement, and the other in the unfinished side, when the results came in, there was no way of knowing which results matched the side of the basement that required action. <br /> I called and expressed my concerns, and they mentioned that the highest reading, more than likely, came from the unfinished side.  That would seem logical, however, I had left the back cellar (unfinished) door on the finished side open during the test.  The back cellar may end up being a bedroom.  I can't take the risk in not knowing.  They then suggested that I have the tests done again, but I don't think it's fair that I be recharged.  As it is, I had to block off the cellar, where we do laundry, etc., for two and a half days.  It's an inconvenience to the family.   <br /> They then told me that I could have marked the bottle caps "1" and "2," and I certainly would have, had it been mentioned in the paperwork.  When I asked them why it wasn't, their response was that "it would just confuse people."  I disagree...and on my part, lots of time and energy has been wasted...and I still have no definitive results.  The company needs to put more effort and care into meeting the special needs of its customers.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Nortonville, KS

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
