The project was completed in just over a week, as he and his partner arrived early every day working through 94 degree heat to finish in the time that he had anticipated. "The project got off initially to a bad start when the handyman did not show up at the scheduled time and date. But after a phone call, the work was re-scheduled. This time he came exactly on time. The professional handyman was very polite and courteous. He clearly understood all my requests and carried them out very well and efficiently. There is a service fee of $54 and an hourly fee of $134 with a one hour minimum. But these charges, especially the service fee is not exorbitant, given that some companies charge much more. All in all, I was very pleased and will definitely use Mr. Handyman again."

We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. "Mark Vachon isn't just a contractor, he's an artist! He had previously done a built in lovely shelf wall-unit for us, as well as replaced doors and windows for us. He's always prompt, professional, and brimming with ideas. We asked him to create a book case that looked like a silhouette of tree. What he built, with just a picture of a leafless tree and a conversation with us, so exceeded our expectations that we are still giddy over it almost 3 months later. We're buying first editions of our favorite books to dress its shelves because nothing else is worthy of it. It's 14 feet tall and incredibly sturdy. Mark bent each branch to give the bookcase the graceful appearance of an oak tree. It was also textured to have the appearance of real bark. Every last detail shows Mark's incredible skill.
