"We had the need to renovate/remodel our Master Bathroom, 1st floor bathroom, and our kitchen. We started interviewing prospective contractors, which in its own is a challenging experience. Some people acted like they wanted the job, others postponed appointments or cancelled all together. Bob Ayotte came to our home, sat down with my wife and I and listened to what we wanted, or at least what we thought we wanted at that point. He offered some ideas and concepts, but deferred to our vision. He took the time to visit each room, the spaces below them, the spaces above them, the wiring, the plumbing, the ventilation, etc. with an attention to detail. He asked lots of questions, took in my answers and my wife’s answers, which at times opened our eyes because our answers didn’t always match. There was never a sales approach, just a consultative approach. By the time he left, I said to my wife, “If his price is in the ballpark, and his communication and follow up on the proposal is professional, we have found our contractor.” Indeed, the price was in the right range, and the communication and follow up could not have been more professional. Bob delivered everything when he said that he would. He took the time to walk us through the proposal and answer a great number of questions. We came to agreement and decided to move forward. My experience with people who own their own companies is that I run into many people who are either “artists”: people who gifted in their craft who fail at running the business aspect including communication, or “business people” who are great at running the business, but fail at the art of their craft. Bob was so good at the business aspect, that I legitimately worried about his ability to deliver on the art. If you share that concern, or my view on artists vs business people, let me assure you that Bob is both. We tackled the master bath first, as a separate project. Everything went exactly according to schedule. We met with Bob’s tile subcontractor, Brian at Nashua Tile Center. We picked out what we wanted, and awaited his estimate. My wife chose some very nice tile, and we ended up $900 over our expected budget…$900 over Bob’s original estimate. Over the course of the remainder of the projects, this would be the only cost over-run which was not due to us adding some new scope of work, like deciding on a bench for the shower, or for a glass shower door instead of the original shower curtain concept. We more than made up for that budget over-run in credits that came back to us in other areas, including being under budget on tile for our kitchen and 1st floor bath (which of course, allowed us to add more scope to the job anyhow). All in all, aside for things that we CHOSE to add to the project, we were roughly $200 over budget for all three rooms: Master Bath, 1st Floor Bath, and Kitchen combined! The Master Bath Project from start to end took 4 weeks, just as Bob had outlined for us. It was delivered on time, and within budget. Further, his sub-contractors for tile, electrical, plumbing, plaster, painting and floor refinishing treated our home with great respect throughout the process, always taking time to prepare the area for work, protect our floors, take precautions to control dirt and dust, and to clean up every day when the work was done. Bob’s crew of himself, Mike, and Austin were friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. I worked from home throughout the entire project, so I saw first-hand how they went about their business each day. The finished product, our Master Bath, is amazing. Friends who have seen it say that it looks like something they would find in a spa. The work was fantastic. All permits and inspections were handled by Bob and team, and they were flawless. We were excited to move on to the kitchen and first floor bath. A friend of mine had helped me with my kitchen cabinets, so they were supplied independently. Everything else went according to plan. As I stated above, the same crew from Ayotte Home Improvements, and the same sub-contractors came in, treated my home and my family with great respect, and delivered the job on budget, and on time. Bob went out of his way on several occasions to help me out with items that came up where he could either save me some money on something, save me time on something, or just help me to move a fridge, or remove a fridge, just a bunch of items that he really didn’t have to do, but he did because I believe he is just genuinely a nice guy who wants happy customers and successful projects. Toward the end of the kitchen and bath project, it became evident that we would be foolish to not extend our new colors and woodwork into our dining room and living room. Bob just rolled with the changes, managed his sub-contractors and adjusted accordingly as we added scope (and cost). He was incredibly patient with us. Throughout the entire process, the professionalism and communication never waned. Bob and I exchanged emails and text messages on a regular basis. The artist and the business person never conflicted. The project plan was accurate each week. The payments and dollars owed were always correct. This project went so well, we have Bob and his team back to add a two car garage and mud room now."

"Back room looks beautiful! During demo, room was sealed off from rest of the house to keep dust and debris contained. Tom and Eric always made sure things were cleaned up at the end of the day. Kitchen project, my husband and I picked cabinets out and T & E worked with us and were great when we needed modifications to make it all work. They were here longer than expected and that was due to some surprises on our end and they handled it amazingly since I'm sure we upset other timelines for their next projects! The price was very reasonable and approximate date was end of May 2015."

"Absolutely AMAZING job! We have been searching for a general contractor for almost 6 months to take care of several projects on the exterior of our home. We had worked with Stellar Painting before when our insurance company paid for a door and window repair. After a phenomenal job and a great experience, I called them again to see if, by some miracle, they could handle a list of repairs for the exterior of our home. After coming out, giving an estimate, and providing a start time - I couldn't believe how quickly everything was done! They fixed everything (and that was one heck of a list)! Our deck is so beautiful, I can't stop staring at it. Light poles that a previous masonry company installed are standing tall and proud (versus lump-sided like they have been for years now!) The list goes on. The exterior of our home looks brand new thanks to them. I can't believe how quick and easy it all was. "We needed to renovate the third floor of our house, which was originally one open high-ceiling space used as a den, family room, and home office. Our goal was to maintain the open space concept while creating two separate offices, a small library room, a family room, and a bedroom. While it might sound challenging, thanks to D&S Partners Construction Inc., it turned out even better than expected. The tasks involved installing a hardwood floor, adding a wall with a door and closet for the bedroom with high-raised bookshelves facing the family room, creating two office spaces in two of the three dormers, and converting the third dormer into a library with a French door. To maintain an open feeling, we used glass (from Boston Glass) to separate the offices from the main room, providing excellent sound isolation. Between the family room and the bedroom, we had a retractable wall installed, which was manufactured and delivered by Tudelu, allowing the two rooms to function as one open space or be separated and sound-isolated when the bedroom is in use. The retractable wall was running between the newly installed wall with closets and bookshelves and a big arch window we wanted to preserve. Only two windows had to be replaced with slightly narrower ones to accommodate the flame for the Tudelu wall. My wife and I came up with the whole concept, but DS provided excellent advice at every step of the project, and several adjustments were made. Additionally, there was significant electrical work, AC tube replacement, and painting throughout the entire floor. We had an amazing experience with Sanfer, his son Matt, and the entire crew, that yielded fabulous results. They were incredibly professional throughout the project. Sanfer responded right away after listing our needs, explaining all the steps and costs upfront, with no hidden surprises. The work began promptly, within a week of signing the contract, and was completed exactly as expected. The main work took two months with no delays. As anticipated, the glass walls and doors were installed a month later, followed by the retractable wall from Tudelu two months after that. We couldn't use the floor only for two months. The glass and the retractable wall installations which were completed later on upon their delivery didn’t disrupt our work at all. This was perfectly well organized and managed by D&S. We were impressed by the friendly, understanding, and highly professional nature of the team. Their work ethic was exceptional, and their quality was outstanding, demonstrating a commitment to perfectionism. Sanfer ensured that every detail was perfect, no matter how small. They are unbelievably clean and organized. We selected him from several contractors we met with, and he stood out for his deep understanding of our needs and immediate professional advice. We expected a great job, but his work exceeded our wildest expectations. I don’t look for any other contractor anymore when it comes to home renovation. We have something in mind for the first floor/basement, so if we decide to do it, it will be his project for sure. I cannot imagine anything better than D&S."

"I spent over a year trying to get our home renovation project off the ground. We met with many contractors that either found our project too large or too small. Our plans included adding on a 16x16 room, a large two-tiered deck, and renovating the entire first floor. Ryan came to check out our project and within no time had an all-inclusive estimate prepared for us. It was priced very reasonable and his presentation gave us comfort that he could handle our job. Ryan's crew was very considerate, especially considering we were staying in our home during the duration of the project. They were timely, requested consent to be there at various times and worked consistently to get our project done. Part of the project included custom doors and non-tradition trim/detail work. They handled this exceptionally. All the detail work came out great! We would absolutely hire Norman Builders for another project."

"I decided to install a finished room to the unfinished space in my basement. I reached out to multiple contractors including Derek and James at Diorio. I asked for quotes to finish the space and received a detailed contract from Diorio, which included a timeline for completion. Diorio structured the contract with stages and payments once they completed the outlined work. Diorio managed the project including permitting and sub-contractors (for me electrical, plumbing and HVAC). They do not take payment for sub-contractors, instead I paid them directly. Eliminating any concerns of subs being paid. They also dealt with the building department, who were challenging to work with in my town. The staging went as planned. James and Derek did an excellent job managing the project and scheduling the subs. My house was built in the 1930's, so the basement presented some challenges, which Diorio handled without any issues. The finish work is excellent. I'm very pleased with the final results and would both recommend Diorio to family and friends and work with them again myself."
