"They came out quickly to give me a estimate for replacing my 10 year old Rinnai heater. They actually told me NOT to get the additional optional recirculating feature that another company was recommending, due to cost and reliability issues. When Washington Water Heater’s bid came in it was about 40% less than the other guy for the same work and same water heater (minus the recirculating feature)- $5200 vs $9100. They didn’t require any money up front (other guy wanted 50%) and were able to schedule the work for only a few days out (other guy said it could be weeks or months). The showed up on time, did excellent work and even charged me slightly LESS than the original bid because they ended up not needing to install a pump for the condenser."

"The faucet was leaking on my bathtub with a steady drip. After reviewing YouTube videos on how to replace the Delta cartridge, I thought it was in my capabilities to perform the work. Since I couldn't isolate the bathtub's water supply from the household water supply, and that I'm a law abiding citizen of Murhphy's Law, I couldn't see having the household water supply cut off for several hours while I tried to fix whatever predicament awaited my entanglement. "Excellent experience with Jacob and Blaine from Seatown. They piped a gas line over to the tankless water heater and installed the heater. They removed the old heater and cleaned up the area. The quality of the work was very high. Both Jacob and Blaine were very personable and polite. "The Seatown team did a great job. I got quotes from 3 different recommended plumbing services, but the Seatown guys were the only ones who recognized we would need to upgrade our gas meter. They did a great job explaining how to get this scheduled with PSE. The estimate Seatown gave was on par with some of the other plumbers, so we went with them. They sent 2 service people to come and install the tankless and the guys were just excellent. I expressed concern about mounting the water heater on the beams in our basement because Our house is so old, so they came up with a better solution. They built a small wall frame to mount the water heater. No extra cost. When they found there was no outlet wired near the heater they were able to get an electrician from Seatown to come out and wire one up while they worked on the water heater install. Seatown aldo had a good scheduling method, sent text reminders the day they were coming to do the work with a photo of the person who was coming and a short set of info about the person. It was a nice touch, and a thoughtful safety measure. They did a great job with the install which took several hours. I’d definitely hire them again."

"About 4 years ago, I bought a York furnace and a natural-gas powered standby generator from G&S Heating. The furnace collection box cracked in several places, which caused the furnace to stop heating in January 2016. The after-hours service call cost $250 plus another $100 to have the technician clean the sensor, a fix that temporarily restored heat most of the time. The company ordered a new collection box, a part that is a known defect on this York furnace. York should have recalled it, but it did not, and now York is not paying for the part. However, G&S voluntarily paid for the part, and I'm grateful for that. Since it was January & it was cold, I assumed that G&S would ship the part by overnight or 2-day shipping. I was mistaken. It took a full week to get the part. During that week, no one from the office called to give me the status of the repair. If I wanted an update, I had to call them. The three times I called them about the pending repair, the people were extremely nice, but no one took the initiative to call me with updates. I’ve since talked with the service manager, and he said he is working to ensure that customers get timely updates. I also suggested that they ship parts by overnight or at least 2-day express. He is also taking that suggestion under advisement. Finally, eight days after the furnace went out, Allen, the technician, came and installed the new collection box. Allen is an excellent technician and he did very good work—at least the furnace is still working. The cost of labor to repair the furnace was $746. The technician was here approximately 1 1/2 hours. Doing the math, G&S charged $497/hour. Combined with the first service call, the total repair cost approximately $1,096. I talked to the service manager about this shockingly high labor charge on the second call, but he stood firm on the price. Eventually, however, he offered to pay for the upcoming service on my standby generator that was scheduled in a few weeks. Thankfully, that will save me $400. In summary, I give the technician and his work an A. While the customer service was lacking, I believe the service manager when he says he is working to improve communication with the customers. Also the plus side, G&S paid for the part (something that York should have done). If you use G&S, be sure to get an estimate for both parts and labor and ask them to give periodic updates on the ETA for parts."
