"It went very well, but not without some minor communication issues which happens with just about every contractor. Bill did an excellent job reviewing what work I needed to have done. He presented several options and prepared an estimate. After I compared other estimates from other contractors, I decided to go with Custom Masonry based not only on the excellent reviews on Angie's list, but in the confidence I had in Bill and the workers. While not the cheapest price, Custom Masonry's price was very competitive. The only hiccup was the first day when the workers did not know exactly what needed to be done vis-a-vis the walkway design. After a couple of phone calls between the lead supervisor, myself and Bill, everything was resolved. The rest of the work proceeded smoothly and the workers did an outstanding job in both quality of work and cleaning up after each work day. I would heartily recommend Custom Masonry for any masonry work!"

"Jose and his patio paver crew are the ultimate professionals who deliver what they promise, at a fair price and in a timely manner. They first repaired uneven pavers due to tree root growth, and then they power washed and resealed the entire patio, using polymetric sand. Our patio looks and feels like new! We are very happy customers."

"Lazaro and his crew members, Fidel, William, and Issac, transformed our back yard from being a dirty and unpleasant hellscape where my wife and I never spent any time to being a beautiful and clean space where we can host parties, cookouts, and relax. The crew was extremely professional, organized, thoughtful, experienced, efficient, and communicative throughout the course of the project. I was quite impressed with their design and planning skills, extensive experience, and passion for their work. My wife and I own a small row house with a small back yard, which presented unique challenges to the crew: no back yard access except through neighbors’ properties. The crew handled this challenge well by being communicative and friendly with my neighbors and always cleaning up the space at the end of each working day. They always ensured that the fencing and hardscaping looked good from both sides of the property line, so that my neighbors were also happy! Another challenge was that an adjacent property is about 3 feet above grade and not pleasant to look at from our yard. Lazaro’s planning and vision for a beige brick half-wall, topped with wooden lattice flower boxes was a great finishing touch that provided a beautiful transition between the red brick paver patio and the elevated wooden fence to block the view of the adjacent property. The crew carefully planned their work from the beginning, so that there were no surprises at the end as the finishing touches were put on and the fence was erected. My wife and I are also confident that the money we spent on this work will be a great investment—not only for enjoying our new home, but also in the resale value some day in the future. Our back yard is now something to brag about! We are also confident that the work quality and materials are built to last a very long time. We are so happy. Thank you, Lazaro!"

"Removed old concrete patio: This was an old 1963-era concrete slab. Massive. Mike & his team brought in jackhammers and made quick work of it. Waterproofing: Removing the old slab revealed a damaged (and possibly leaking) portion of the house wall, which Mike's team repaired well. Replaced with new patio: Mike's team poured a new cement layer, then installed a new flagstone patio surface on top of that. Also a new step (concrete with flagstone exterior) at the door threshold. They also re-installed an iron railing which had been part of the original patio configuration. The job went well in all respects. We're happy with the team's work and with the new patio. I've worked with Mike and Diversified Contractors several times now. Each time, Mike has had good ideas & suggestions. Each time, his team has demonstrated excellent skills. Again, I'm looking forward to our next project."

"Wow! Let me start by saying I had several contractors come by to give me estimates on fixing some major concerns I’ve had in my yard for quite a while. I needed a professional who could complete everything I needed at a reasonable price. Well, Mr Julio Escobar (ET General Contractor Inc) was able to accommodate everything I needed done. He listened to everything I needed and provided excellent suggestions as to the right approach to do the job. This entailed re-sloping my backyard to direct water away from my house foundation and installing a drainage system in my backyard. My backyard was a barren wasteland that needed quite a bit of work. I had barely any grass on one side with many trees that I wanted removed in order to get more sunlight and allow grass to grow. Julio’s crew did an amazing job (cut down trees, removed all branch/log debris and grinded/ground the stumps down to the roots). His crew planted 29 Japanese Cedar trees along my fence line. My appreciation goes out to Julio Escobar for working with the nursery to get me all Japanese Cedars instead of the Leyland Cypress trees. Exactly what I wanted all along. God Bless you! He and his crew trucked in tons of river rock to lay around my pool and along the foundation in the back of the house and then laid, I forget how many, rolls of sod. These guys worked hard and in the worst heat of the summer. Lastly, but definitely not least he and his crew brought in clean topsoil and organic compost, grass seed, and fertilizer to cover my front yard (that also was a wasteland). After that he aerated the area and laid sod on the sides of my driveway so that there would be no run off when it rained. I can’t express enough how professional, courteous, and attentive Mr Escobar and his entire crew were throughout the entire job. I would definitely use them again for future projects. God Bless them for their hard work and strong work ethic!"

"We recently had our flagstone patio renewed by Moore Design and could not be happier with the results. The crew was professional and hardworking throughout the project. Working with John was especially easy — he was responsive, straightforward, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. The patio looks fantastic and the quality of the work really shows. Highly recommend Moore Design! Would definitely hire them again."

"They came when they said they would, the workers were professional and my patio is just what I wanted"

"I needed a wooden fence repaired on short notice. Edin responded to my Angi's List posting, looked at the fence and 2 gates to repair, then gave me a good estimate on the work. Initially I thought the estimate to be a little high however, looking at the detail he offered, the estimate was reasonable. Edin adjusted his other projects to take care of the fence as the timing was critical. When completed, he replaced one section of fence, re-set another post that was moved over the years by the yard (he re-set the post in cement) and connected the loose sections to the post correctly, repaired two gates that needed cross-boards replaced plus re-set the posts for the gates, and replaced hinges and latches on 3 gates. All of this was done in one day and turned out exceptionally well. I wish I had engaged him last year! Holy Land Landscaping is top-notch. They cleaned up the yard when finished and truly did a very professional job. Thank you Edin and team!! (and by the way, the price was quite reasonable for the work and quality provided). Edin and his team are wonderful to work with!"

"The HD Exteriors teams delivered outstanding results in replacing our existing rear deck and front porch with beautiful TREX decking. At the same time, they replaced all of the existing railings with fully coordinated maintenance-free railing. Really nice ! They also did demolition of an existing brick front stairway [which did not meet our county's code for good reason], and they then installed new front stairs with railing and additional safety features for us "senior citizen" types. It all leveraged the same high-quality TREX; but the exquisite CARE they went to in beautifully designing [per up-front concept drawings] and installing was truly a wonderful and very pleasant surprise. Special cudos to Mr. Omar and his team !! There was also a new installation of fully coordinated (i.e., TREX tpp railing) placed atop of a wall [with significant drop-off hazard] which was TOP NOTCH work, and fit in perfectly with all of their other beautiful work, AND helped us to meet Fauquier County code for safety requirements. In addition, HD Exteriors replaced siding on upstairs dormer windows and provided perfect color matching. Finally we'd like to cite the excellent customer service that each of the HD Exteriors personnel provided from start to finish. On that point, we'd like to provide dditional special cudos: To Mr. Jerimiah C. at the front-end of sales, pulling together concept drawings, helping us understand options and warranties, and nailing down contract costing. Also cudos to Mr. Mike P. at the conclusion of the projects who came out to specifically do final end-to-end Quality Assurance / Walk-through. Everybody at HD were very professional, courteous, responsive, and timely -- always arriving within 3 -5 minutes of an appointment time, even when they were coming quite a distance to get to our home. You'll see that we have provided the highest rating to each of the teams of HD professionals [importantly, extending to all HD Office Staff !] that supported our project work. Moreover, our experience with HD Exteriors has actually exceeded our expectations. We are more than pleased with the outcomes of all of the work that has been done on our home. We would certainly endorse HD Exteriors to other customers who are looking for high-quality outcomes and delivery of full -- and timely -- support throughout their operations. -- Grace and Jim Winters"

"We recently contracted with J.P. Landscaping for installation of a flagstone walkway (over existing concrete base). Jose and his team were excellent and answered all of our questions. The crew was very professional and meticulous in their work. Would hire again for future projects."
