"Elliot is the rare sort of individual who gives each job his best effort, and will stick with a task until it meets his and  the owner's expectations. <br /> In our case, he purchased, and had cut-to-measure, a section of downspout which he used to replace that which had apparently ruptured during the winter due to an ice accumulation. He then painted the new segment to match the older sections. It is functioning very well. <br /> Although we purchased the doorknobs and accompanying dead bolt locks at his suggestion to offer choices, he installed them in three doors, which now feel significantly more secure than before.  <br /> He spent many hours repairing the mechansm of several kitchen drawers: one having become so worn we could hardly open it.. At one point, one of the drawers was making a thumping sound as it was closed, and he was very happy to re-do it so that it is now quieter.  The drawers now work very well, and open smoothly. <br /> In short, Elliot Levinsohn is the ideal handyman: says what he will do, and then does it to the owners' and his specifications and standards; was punctual, friendly, and explains what he is doing...all for a reasoable price. <br />"

"I do not live locally, but owned a home in the area that was for sale. There was evidence of an old roof leak that had been repaired on the ceiling in one of the rooms. I needed the work completed quickly since the home had just been put on the market. Jason retuned my call promptly and said he could do the job for me within a few days. I called him on Sunday and he performed the job on Wednesday. He had to use two coats of paint but did not charge more than the original estimate. I paid him via an online app. Which was very convenient for both of us. The home sold in a week. Jason was veryprofessional, polite, and expedient. I highly recommend CMS Home Services to any one in the Lansing area!"

"I conduct an annual cleaning with Dr. Flue because the outcome is excellent. I operate my stove 24/7 during the winter months, so it takes a beating. Upon inspection, I had some issues with the glass and door on my wood stove. They are ordering the necessary parts, and will come back to completely repair my stove. Excellent service"

"All went well - he cleaned a part and said he felt it was the problem  -  but also said that part probably would need replacing with a new one - he didn't know how long the 'cleaning' would last  -  In the mean time I was to figure out I knew someone in the business - I chose to go with my friend  -  though I was not unhappy in any way with All Weather Mechanical, Inc - in fact the service call of $85.00 would go towards the 'fix' call if it became necessary -  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The job went great. From the very beginning Brad was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Communication was great from start all the way to finish. I can't stress that enough. So many people I called either answered once or didn't return my messages at all. Brad would always get back to me. He showed up right on time, did a great job with the door. Everything works great. If you need something done I would recommend Carpentry Plus again and again."

"We hired Esser Builders ii (EBII) to do a large project back in the fall of 2019. We needed our driveway replaced, an outbuilding removed, large concrete steps demolished, a new covered deck entrance replaced on the side of our house, and a small multi-level deck & stairs to our backyard installed. Through the entire process, Esser Builders ii, and their owner Albert, have been wonderful. I cannot recommend highly enough this company and I am confident I will contract with them again for future projects. Here are some major facets of process that I think are valuable for prospective customers to know: 1) Bidding Process: With the exception of EBII, the other bids were vague and did not have a lot of detail – especially regarding what was included/excluded. EBII provided a very detailed bid that carefully laid out the work that would be done, the materials that would be used, and everything was included in the estimate. That is, when they price a project (e.g. a door), they don’t come back to you to ask for more $$ if they run into a problem. This happened on our job and it was worth it. Moreover, when the initial visit occurred, the owner Albert came to do the bid himself. He was knowledgeable and had good ideas about how to improve the project given our budget. No pressure or hard sell was applied. Their prices were somewhat higher than the other bids – but I have no regrets! 2) Communication: Whenever I have had questions about the project, such as the expected timeline, materials, or other details, the main office and/or Albert himself contacted me very quickly – often later the same day – even on weekends. I never once had trouble getting information or answers to my questions. This type of communication is comforting when you are spending a lot of money. 3) Flexibility: Part of our project overlapped with the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated business shutdowns. EBII’s workers worked within the law to complete our open project since it was unsafe if incomplete (i.e. dangerous drop-offs). They had the proper legal permissions and acted professionally throughout the period. In addition to the COVID-19 issues, EBII was also comfortable adjusting the project after we decided to do something slightly different regarding deck design as well as add a few odds and ends to the work. It was not a problem – they simply modified the bid slightly and added the modifications to the work. Easy-Peasy. 4) Follow-through: With any large project, often you notice a bit of stuff here or there where you think that a small repair is needed, or a detail was missed. It happens. What impressed me with EBII is that they are committed to making sure that their customers are satisfied. They are happy to send people back to your job and make things right. In other words, after they are paid, they still are happy to return free of charge to make sure the work is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Laudable behavior. 5) Quality: The crews show up when they say they will and respect your property. I found the crew to be professional, courteous, and devoted to their work. Every day the site was cleaned up until the next day of work. Moreover, the products use in the construction and the quality/sturdiness of what is built is top notch. Our old deck was poorly constructed and falling apart. The new deck uses serious 4”x6” post construction in poured concrete with fine attention to detail (i.e., sanding corners so that everything is smooth, etc.). It is a major bummer to pay thousands of dollars for shoddy work – I have had that happen earlier in my life. It is nice to see the opposite with EBII – especially when you know that they stand behind their work long after the end date of the build. All in all, you can’t go wrong with Esser Builders ii. They are competent, professional, fair, honest, and respectful. This was my first experience with Albert & EBII – and I know that I won’t be the last."

"Smoothly! Called quite a few places, no return call or way too much to fix in an emergency. Dale sent Jason out the same day & didn't overcharge us for emergency call & repair. Jason was professional & answered all of our questions. We will need a new roof next year & will definitely make Palmer our first call. All of those companies who didn't bother to at least call back (Weathergard, Acme Roof, DNA Advanced Renov. & Dollins Co.), we will NOT be wasting our time on you either. Thanks Palmer."

"Jason Vandermeer began by repairing the kitchen faucet but the end result did not meet his approval. He recommended that we replace the faucet and he would not charge us for the labor or the parts of the repair. He quoted us a very reasonable price for the faucet and spray attachment and did the installation. The faucet in the bathroom was able to be repaired. Jason was very professional and attentive to our wants and needs. At no time did we ever feel Jason was trying to sell us something we didn't want or need. Working with Jason was truly a wonderful experience. Jason will be the only plumber we ever use."
