"I thought about an addition for several years; then interviewed and received bids from about 6 companies. I wanted a workroom with: * built-in storage cabinets and desk * space for the washer, dryer, freezer, and sauna. * ample space for my projects JB Construction’s bid was reasonable and fair. Joe is professional, honest, responsive, and easy to work with. He finds and hires quality subcontractors, and I am impressed with the work that was completed on my addition. He is hands-on, was involved in the process, and checked in often as the work progressed. He actually did quite a bit of the work himself. I really appreciated how Joe suggested improvements that I never would have thought of. These included enlarging the space from 280 to 320 sq ft, adding a sun tunnel when the skylight wouldn’t work with the roof line, a built-in cabinet where a window was removed, an exterior electrical outlet, and an overhead light in the corner cupboard. Joe was able to salvage and reuse the old brick on the front of the addition. This, along with the two original windows integrated the addition seamlessly with the rest of the house. It was done so perfectly; neighbors have asked where the addition was built. I’m extremely picky and am thrilled with my new addition. It’s lovely, functional, and my preferred room in my house. Joe has a lot of repeat customer jobs and I can see why. This was a great experience and I’m glad I went with him. I plan to use JB Construction for future projects and recommend him to everyone I know."

"Fonda and Steve run a fantastic company, excellent communication and quality of craftsmanship. We used them 1st to build decking over our back patio and a privacy wall, to enclose our hot tub. A few months later we had them remodel our kitchen which included adding new cabinets, painting existing cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting and plumbing. They were always prompt, dependable, cleaned up after each day’s work and extremely easy to communicate with. ""Basement - Remodel" doesn't really cover it for our project. We added a great room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. In other words, about half a house. I can describe the Tarantola crew's knowledge and execution, both collectively and individually, in three words: "Attention to detail". I grew up in and around commercial and residential construction and I've done some of every one of the jobs required of Tarantola for our project. I was trained to be 'picky', so I am 'picky'. And, I can honestly say that I am not only happy with what they have done, but also proud of what they did and how they did it. Since the late 80's I've built and/or remodeled homes across several states around the country. And, over time, as those projects unwound, I became increasingly convinced that the work ethic that I grew up around was dying, if not dead. Well, I'm happy to report that we here in the KC area have at least one example to prove that there are still people in the business who care."

"Our project was finished faster than we expected and were given the opportunity to live in it for a little bit, notify any issues, and then invite them back in to repair anything that we noticed. The job site was isolated in order to keep debris to a minimum and everything was cleaned and stacked before leaving each day. David is meticulous in his work and offered several suggestions on how to work around the little issues that always seem to come up. Overall, we're very happy with the new kitchen and would contact David for remodeling needs in the future. We're saving up for a bathroom remodel next, David will be our first call."

"The quote was about the same as another company, but the other company would charge extra for each piece of plywood that needed to be replaced and other things. It was nice to know what we would pay. The price quoted is what we paid. There were windows in one room that needed to be replaced. We had quotes from 2 companies in the past. Mr Harris suggested larger windows instead of several small ones at 2/3 the price quoted by other companies. It changed the whole feel of the room. That was extra, of course. This company went way above and beyond what was expected. Each crew was efficient, knowledgeable, eager to please and did real quality work. There were delays, some because of us and some because of them. Thank you for giving us a new house."
