"Only pool company you should work with in Washington state!!! Julio, Layne and their team were a dream to work with on my custom pool project. They built a spa with a grotto, a pool with a swim cave, a large stamped concrete patio, and an amazing fire pit. Picture is of my relaxing in the hot tub as I write this. Feels like a come home from work every day to my own resort. It’s completely transformed our house. Thank you PNW pools for this dream pool you built for me and my family! "

Customers say: Quality work

"Readying a large house for estate sale with indoor in-ground pool that needed resurfacing and tile work. Tony was recommended by my broker. Tony showed up and provided a reasonable quote quickly as well as answering all my questions. He got to work with his crew a few days later and did an outstanding job with the tile and resurfacing! The pool looks sparkling and brand new. Tony and crew were punctual, professional and personable. They also cleaned up the pool area nicely and installed handrails. I highly recommend these pros for any pool work you may need--Tony and crew are a credit to their profession!! 5 Stars all the way."

"I selected him from a phone book ad. He was professional and while other contractors told me I could not do what I wanted he was positive that it could be done and made it happen. I elected to complete the trenching which took a month or so. He was patient and did not add to the bid to compensate for what revenue he had lost from my digging the trench. He also noticed some code issues with another part of the electrical system and completed the repairs quickly so that I would pass inspection. <br />"

"I went with them because they work on diesels. I went online looking because I am trying to get away from my dealership. Here I am with the big 7.3 diesel van and I need some specific service and they can’t do it. If they do it, they charge me on the leg; so I found somebody else who seems to be a little bit cheaper, a little bit more responsive and a little bit more personable. That’s why I went with Mathewson's Automotive. I wanted to get away from the dealership and I went to these people. They were personable, took care of me and they had a “we care” attitude."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Olympia, WA

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
