"It was an old house that leaked and they repaired the north dormer. They also put aluminum sliding to make it look better. After the job was done it didn't rain for about a month and when it did; found no leaks. In November, we had a bad storm that brought down tree limbs and property damage to others around us and the roof didn't have any damage; it withstood the storm.

"Total demolition of the kitchen from ceiling to floor! They did excellent work putting new ceiling & walls up. The sanding & painting was done very well. Scott did a wonderful job installing the new cabinets,stove, microwave,& dishwasher. He also installed all the flooring,baseboards,new door & trim. Very good attention to details & very neatly done. "We called Bob to do an estimate on our roof. He explained that he had jobs lined up to be completed before ours, but if we sprang a leak, he would come and tarp it immediately. Fortunately, that didn't happen. As it was July, Bob and his helper showed up quite early in the morning to begin work. Bob explained his work schedule, meaning he would take off in the worst of the afternoon heat and return in the evening to continue. They draped tarps around the house to catch errant nails and shingles as they tore off the old roof. We learned that there are certain detailed tasks that Bob does himself, like flashing around a chimney. He is very particular about the quality of his work which we consider a excellent trait in a workman. The roof was completed in a matter of days and the yard was cleaned up. Our roof looks great and we have had compliments from so many of our neighbors. We will definitely call him again!

"excellent, when problems arose with the old sink and the weight of the tile on the countertop, they reinforced the cabinet walls for just the cost of materials. Even with the extra repairs they still finished the job ahead of schedule, and on budget. The workers were very friendly and professional, and were quick to answer any questions that I had. I am having them come back in the spring to build a flagstone patio and firepit in my back yard."

Aaron from von Behren Builder met with us to determine what our needs were and promised to provide an estimate.  He was professional and efficient.  I explained that this was not our primary residence and we were looking for a reasonable priced deck with a couple of different price options (i.e. wood vs. composite).  I received an estimate in a timely manner, however, the estimate was way higher than other estimates I had received and there were no options offered other than the composite material.

I have been told by others in the community that von Behren Builder has an excellent reputation for the quality of their work, but due to the high cost of the estimate we received for a relatively simple deck replacement, I will not be using their services.
