"So happy with my new sink! Carlos and his team did an excellent job cutting out my under mount sink, replacing it with a Stainless Steel top mount at a very reasonable price. They were able to complete this job in just a few hours, with no mess, even hauling away all the trash and boxes. Was also impressed that they sealed all my existing Granite, making my kitchen look brand new. Carlos made a very positive impression from the moment I met him, so professional, experienced and easy to talk to. I was also very pleased that they were able to do the complete job, other companies I checked weren't able to remove the faucet or reinstall it, making the process more complicated and expensive. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Thank you Carlos, Jesse and Hector!"

"I had a corian counter with an integrated sink. They said it was no problem cutting the sink out and installing a drop in sink. Gave a quote of $1200. Two weeks after the job was done any water on the counter started leaking through the seam around the edge of the sink and under the cabinet. We have left messages on Martins phone for 3 weeks and have yet to hear back from him. Before the job he answered right away. Never use these conmen. "

Small jobs welcome

"Courteous, professional and definite craftsman. If you want your kitchen countertops prepped and installed correctly you should contact J.T. Marble & Granite Designs. I have heard from friends that contractors left them in the lurch for months while sorting things out and waiting for other jobs to be completed. This was definitely not the case. Our entire job from the first phone call to finish was completed in less than three weeks (including our week long trip out of town) by this awesome team. These guys are probably not the cheapest, and if that is your priority please take into consideration the following. Change orders were handled without any drama and two punch list items (microwave installation and cabinet/drawer pulls) were both completed without additional cost. If you desire high quality work, done in a timely manner to your satisfaction contact J.T. Marble & Granite Designs, Inc."

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Ontario, CA

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
