"Mark and Creative did an EXCELLENT job! We had a dark burgundy dining room and were wanting to switch to a light gray / beige color as were concerned as to how much it would cost due to needing many coats to cover the old color. Mark reassured us that he could do this in two coats and that he was confident that it would not need a third. He was right! Mark uses only the best paints available for the specific jog. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have used Mark, so although we were skeptical, we trusted Mark. He was right! Tow coats, one day on site, and our dining room was perfect! I will only use, and recommend Creative Painting from now on. He is the best! Mark is very professional and understands concerns with empathy. He is able to stand by his words and his work! I recommend Creative Painting to anyone looking for any painting needs."

"The person that came out to discuss it with us she was wonderful, she new everything and every question we had she either answered it herself or found the answer elsewhere. The gentleman that arranged the installation was really good the installers were clean and left everything very neat. I was very satisfied with them."

"I hired F7 to fix my about-to-fall-down cedar fence. I didn’t want to replace it; I liked the weathered look and the only thing rotten was the 20+ year old posts. The same team that estimated my project performed the work, which I liked a lot. They did a great job with minimal damage to my yard (if any). They were creative in maximizing reuse of the original boards, and only replaced what was necessary with new materials. They were friendly and offered great communication. I would hire them again."

"I received a quote quickly that was very reasonable. After sending back the signed agreement, the wood was delivered fairly quickly. However, he did not show up for several weeks and I ended up needing to contact him a couple of times before he finally came and did the work. The quality of the work seemed very good and the price was reasonable. I did not like the original latch he put in since it was impossible to operate with one hand, and he did replace it with another design that seemed to work better (at the time). However, once we started to get cold weather, the latch system would not work since the wood was affected by the weather. I contacted him about this and he indicated that he had had other customers with the same problem and was trying to find another latch. Since then (last Spring - it is now November) I have contacted him repeatedly, both by phone and also by email to get the latch replaced. When I last reached him by phone a couple of months ago, he apologized and said he would be there in a few days to fix. He never showed. I finally sent him an email warning him of a bad Angie's list review if he didn't replace it within a week but he still hasn't responded. I am now going to find another contractor to replace the latch. I have been contacted by Quigley Decks and Fence, due to a family emergency he was not able to make it to my home to do the work himself. They reimbursed me for the cost of having another company come out and fix the latch plus an extra $25.00 for my troubles. I am very satisfied with the resolution of this issue and now will use this company again in the future."

FAQs for exterior shutters installation and replacement projects in Oregon, WI

The best material for exterior shutters depends on your preferences. Natural wood offers a classic and timeless look but requires more maintenance. Vinyl, composite, and aluminum shutters provide low-maintenance options with modern styles. Consider your design goals and maintenance preferences to choose the material that ensures both beauty and durability.

Professional shutter installers handle the installation of exterior and interior shutters. They ensure precise fitting and secure mounting so your shutters function properly and enhance your home's curb appeal. Hiring an experienced professional guarantees your shutters are correctly aligned and built to withstand environmental conditions, providing long-lasting protection for your home.

Estate shutters cost an average of $2,990, with prices ranging from $300 to $8,400. Their total price varies based on size, material quality, and installation requirements. While they come with a higher price tag, estate shutters enhance your home's security and add a luxurious aesthetic to your house.

Exterior window shutters are worth the cost for many homeowners, offering aesthetic and functional benefits. They enhance your home's appearance, add security, improve energy efficiency, and protect against severe weather conditions. Investing in exterior shutters can increase your home's value, make it more attractive to future buyers, and provide long-term benefits.

Whether it's cheaper to buy new shutters or paint them depends on their condition. Painting shutters costs $200 to $500 on average and can refresh their appearance if they're in good shape. However, replacing your shutters may be more cost-effective in the long run if they are significantly worn or damaged.

Double-hung, casement, and slider windows are most suitable for exterior shutters, as they accommodate standard dimensions and allow for secure attachment. Unique window types like bay, dormer, and picture windows may not work well with functional shutters due to their shapes and incur higher labor costs due to the complexity of installation.
