"Beto and Sons were great. I needed to pave my driveway, a 7500 sf job, on a relatively short notice in the middle of the summer, their busy season. They came through. They brought their crew with their machines and completed the job in one day. A very hot day, I may add. I would highly recommend them and would use them again."

"Quick response and extremely attentive to our needs. At first, Nathan was too busy to take the job, so he referred us to another business. He called back a few days later to see if I had any luck getting scheduled. I hadn't. He said a spot opened up so he was able to fit me in that same week! Did a nice job cleaning, filling cracks, and resealing our asphalt driveway. The only negative aspect was that some areas of the product didn't adhere very well and was wearing away a year later."

"We had a great experience. Soon after we called Craig, he came out, measured, and got back to us with an estimate, which was far lower than the estimates offered by the other two firms we had called due to their numerous good reviews here on Angie's List. His guy did a great job and gave us some advice on how to keep the surface in good shape. Both he and Craig were very friendly, professional, and responsive. We look forward to doing business with them agian in three years. <br />"

"I was impressed by the quality of the product and Jeff Garcia's promoting of the System Pavers. Mike Cowan oversaw the installation and worked to correct a problem with one of the pieces of turf. The replacement was installed this morning and my yard looks beautiful!"

"Tom came out and looked at the condition of our driveway.  He suggested the best solution would be a complete overlay of 2 inch asphalt.  He provided a quote near $10,000 which was much more than what we had budgeted. <br /> While we believe his solution is the best, we decided to do a stop-gap solution that we hope will buy us a 2 to 4 years before we have to do the work that Tom suggested. <br /> We will be calling his company again in the next 2 to 4 years. <br />"

"We have an acre+ of lawn and mature landscaping which we have maintained ourselves for years.  Last fall we realized we weren't up to the task any longer so we hired Orient Drive Landscaping.  Mike came over and we walked the property with him.  He was very attentive to our thoughts and had many good suggestions of his own.  Mike and his crew did a wonderful job, pruning, limbing trees, and preparing us for winter.  We had them back in the spring to clean up the beds and prune things for  summer. We recently hired them back  to fix a low area in our back yard ~ approximately 900 sq ft.  Mike and his crew removed the old sod, built up the area with new soil and put down new sod.  It now looks wonderful.  Each time Mike and his crew have worked in our yard they have hauled away the debris, and have left our yard, patios and driveways imaculate.   I have recommended them to friends and family and recommend them to anyone in need of landscape services.  This is a wonderful company. <br />"

"I want to highly recommend Ted Rudiger Excavation Inc. In my twenty-five years living in this area, having owned three homes and having hired numerous contractors for various tasks this company has out-shined them all. This from the start of the job to the finish. I contacted Rudiger Excavation for a bid to fix a backup problem with my storm drain and Ted not only quickly identified the source of the problem (which a previous contractor had failed to do so I was charged approx. $1300 for work that did not fix the problem)but found a way fixing it that saved me a lot of money(i.e., instead of having to pay for drilling 12-13 feet down to the sewer line). Ted was very clear and precise about exactly what work would be done in the bid estimate which included replacing my sod and dirt and clean-up. Having agreed on the estimate I asked Ted if I could use an Angie's List Coupon. Even though the coupon was only for sewer or water line work(not storm drain)Ted took $150 off the bid estimate. Before he left that day Ted said that he would return Monday and do a temporary fix(storm drain extension)on my storm drain. On Sunday it rained particularly hard and Ted came to my house that morning and did the temporary fix. The work that was done included digging about 35-40 feet of an approx. one and a half foot deep trench, tunneling under the sidewalk, installing a 3 inch ABS pipe, capping the old storm drain, and replacing the sod/grass. Ted also replaced a broken sprinkler pop-up head at his own expense-even though it was damaged through lawn mowing. After the work was completed my yard still looked great even after all the trenching. I'm a very happy customer!"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Oregon City, OR

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
