"<p>He listened and was very open and useful with his suggested alternative to my desired approach to... indeed I have opted for his likely equally costly but much less destructive resolution. I live in a small 1970's vintage home with a "galley style kitchen. It also has a closet style laundry that shares a wall with the kitchen directly behind the refrigerator. My frustration rested in the vintage of my kitchen in that it doesn't accommodate todays much larger refrigerators. Can't speak to his actual skill or I'd rated him "A".....likely  "A+".</p> <p>I wanted to "stack my laundry services which would allow sufficient room to move the wall behind the refrigerate back such that I could buy a new much deeper refrigerator. His suggestion pointed to the cost of moving some plumbing and electrical along with the expansive task of moving the wall but not the cabinets. </p> <p>His suggestion involved swapping the location of the refrigerator with a section of cabinets of the same width and forgoing the deeper refrigerators with one simply taller. As I said these units are unjustly expensive, but it is a solution that both opens up the kitchen and gets me a newer more spacious refrigerator. </p> <p>I plan on using his suggestion but given his approach is so very much simpler, I'm doing it myself..... saving me likely most of the increase in the cost of this non-standard refrigerator or if you will it is an option that will definitely save me over $500. all in.</p> <p>So, honest, caring, polite, creative, knows his craft, and is not totally watching the bottom line. "This was our second go with Stan - in early 2018, his team converted our "bonus room" into a bedroom, bathroom and a study. We were so impressed by his work quality and responsiveness, that when we needed to replace a rotting wooden deck with a new Trex one, Stan was the first one we contacted. His visit for planning a deck install quote was like the previous visit - it took only 5-10min with general questions on what we'd like, and a detailed quote (with line items) came in an email. Price was very reasonable - not the cheapest, but very reasonable, and as we trust Stan, we hired him to do the deck as well. This work included demolition of the deck (Stan agreed to let us do part of the demo, and gave a discount on the quote for that), framing and installing the deck. After the initial deck frame, we realized we were a bit too greedy with the deck size.. it was too big! We asked Stan to adjust the size down a bit, and he did it quickly, with little extra cost (the effort needed for adjustment was compensated by the lower cost of Trex material for the now-smaller deck). The final deck size was 20ft by 24ft, using Trex Transcend (the highest-tier Trex composite decking) - the full deck work was $25,000 of the project total of $32,000. In addition to the new deck, we asked Stan to also extend the backyard fence around the deck, so we would have more yard space for our dog. Stan's quote included that one as well (for about $3,000). In addition, we asked Stan to install a barrel sauna (from Costco), as part of the larger project - this would include electrical hookup for the 8kW heater. Initial plan was to install it onto the deck, but Stan suggested a different location for better privacy and more deck space. As a result, his team built a small wooden platform next to the deck, and installed the sauna on it (this was $4,000, with us providing the barrel sauna). I've included pictures of the deck, the new larger fence and the sauna. As before, Superior Building Concepts work was impeccable, and they were flexible in timelines, preferences, changes etc. We've kept recommending him to others, and everyone has been happy with Stan's work. We'll definitely have him do more projects as well, I would highly recommend Superior Building Concepts for any contractor work."

"Where do I begin? My search for a contractor to renovate our Master Bathroom began in April 2023. I had several different ideas about what Iâ  d like to do in the space. The first company I called was one Iâ  d had my eye on for years - Letâ  s Remodel. Without going into too much detail, Iâ  ll just say that I paid them a good sum of money to come to my house, look at the space, make suggestions and create a written estimate. I donâ  t feel I got what I paid for â  the estimate wasnâ  t very detailed and there wasnâ  t even a mock up of the space. (Their quote was more than we could go, so I knew I had to adjust my desires. However, I didnâ  t really approach them with other, *what ifs* because I was a little put off with how the first estimate was presented.) But while I waited for that first estimate, I found Paliy Construction online, was impressed with the reviews, so gave them a call. Within just a few days, Nazar, who works up estimates for them, came by, looked at the space, made suggestions, took measurements and within a day or so, emailed a written estimate. His estimate included photos of the bathroom with items circled that would be changed along with detailed line items, so I knew exactly what Paliy would supply and be responsible for, as well as listing those things that I said I would supply. (I asked a third company for an estimate, and never heard back from them.) Well, during all these deliberations we actually had a leak in the shower wall that traveled to the ceiling of the room below. We contacted our insurance company who moved very quickly to assess the damage in that small area and settled the claim quickly. So now, we had a large hole in the wall, no shower, and an area of underlayment that had been removed. We couldnâ  t put off the update any longer. Nazar stayed in touch with me throughout that process whereas the first company lost interest once the insurance company got involved and I never heard from them again. And as I said previously, the last company I contacted never bothered to give me an estimate even after coming by and taking measurements. I called Nazar around May 24, signed a contract on May 26, and on Friday, June 9, Yuri Paliy came by around 9 am, demoed and removed *everything* in the bathroom. It was a clean slate. By this same date, my materials had arrived and most were sitting in my garage. I had guests coming for a week on 6/21, so Paliy moved Heaven and earth to make certain we had our bathroom back before our guests arrived so we didnâ  t have to share a bathroom. By the afternoon of 6/21, (my guests were due to arrive late that night), we had a working bathroom. The only items we had to wait on were the shower door and baseboard trim. We just put up a temporary tension rod and shower curtain. The day my guests left, the shower door was installed and the trim was completed. Everyone who had a hand in this project: Nazar, Ben, Yuri, Max - the young tile expert, the plumber, and flooring expert were super to work with and always professional. And quiet; sometimes I forgot they were even working upstairs! Ben, the project manager, patiently answered all my annoying questions too. And trust me, I ask a lot of questions! I know this review is long, but I just wanted to give you a sense of the timeline and how this company not only gave me a very reasonable price for the scope of work required, but continued to stay in touch and follow up when others didnâ  t. My bathroom is not only beautiful, but I know the care and quality of the work that went into it. If youâ  re considering Paliy, look no further; you wonâ  t regret it."
