They don't just get the job done right, they keep going and get it to look like brand new construction, with every single angle looking perfect. They were fairly priced, communicative, punctual, tidy, friendly, professional, and organized. The owner and head honcho Chad is a master carpenter and problem solver that treats your home like his, and his near-obsession with perfection and correct execution is infectious. I had no idea a repair job could look so good afterwards. They use only the highest quality materials. In fact, I imagine Chad is the kind of top-of-his-game professional that attends home remodeling trade shows and conventions to keep up with emerging materials and technologies that push the boundaries of what's possible in home building and repair. He's educated and knowledgable about his craft and it shows in everything he executes. I've dealt with dozens of repairmen in the past but Chad and his team are the ones I've observed that actually seem, well, passionate about getting it done right, making it look professional, and educating you on the process and materials. This passion for the craft and joy that they bring to the job site is truly one of a kind. Chad is the kind of pro that the This Old House crew would trust to feature on an episode where some big nasty problem needs real outside the box cleverness and intelligence and cutting edge tech or tool to get the job done correctly and fully. And if he can't figure it out you know he's going to research the **** out of it and get the job done - the man and his crew are careful, meticulous problem solvers and skilled craftsmen who are always thinking five steps ahead. Like I said, they don't merely know what they're doing - they really like what they're doing and it shines through. The level of quality work and detail they do would easily meet the obnoxiously high standards of our local Disney World theme parks. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Chad and his crew have worked on some theme park projects around here. Scheduling, paying, and communicating was a breeze, too, thanks to Dale. She was so kind and thoughtful and organized through the whole process, handling all of the paperwork and orchestrating the crew behind the scenes. Top to bottom this is a professional organization and their reputation for excellence is well deserved. You get every penny's worth and so much more - the peace of mind that you did not hire some knucklehead that's going to cut corners or miss something on the job site. Basically, if you are picky picky and your eyes go straight to small details out of place or blemishes, then you won't have anything to annoy your eye when they're done because after they leave the whole place feels fresh and transformed and you can relax knowing that everything was done correctly. "Well, I am the one who has stolen Sebastian away for the last 10 months. My brother passed away and left behind a house that was dilapidated and in a total state of disrepair. It literally was a house that most would say to just knock down and start over. As it was a big job, I got several estimates. Sebastian was different than the rest, His bid was not the lowest. It was not the highest either. But, what set him apart from the rest was his willingness to go out of his way to assist. I live in Washington state. You cannot get much further away from the project I was about to take on, and I needed someone willing to help with my need to feel hands-on, even from this great distance. I had not even hired him yet when he went back and measured a room just so he could answer a question for me. (Was the dining room big enough to be converted into a bedroom?) When the city cited the house for an issue, Sebastian jumped in right away to assure I met the city's deadline. From there, I asked him to take over the whole project and i relied quite heavily on him. To say it was a monumental project would be an understatement. This house was jacked up and stripped to the studs. It is almost 100% new and absolutely nothing went untouched. He was there every step of the way, collaborating and advising. He had feedback and suggestions that helped shaped the house into what it became. He sent me many, many pictures and videos to keep me in the loop. He readily and easily took my direction and swiftly executed any requests. He problem-solved and came up with creative ideas. Nothing phased him and he always fixed any problem that arose. He did not upcharge me for materials and used his connections to secure me the very best prices. He was a great communicator and was always quick to respond. He was on this job for just over 10 months and rarely took a day off. No vacation. He was very dedicated to the project. This project ended up being about twice as mush as we had planned, but the house was literally filled with awful surprises and poor workmanship from previous contractors. In no way could I fault Sebastian for that. No one could foresee what was within the walls. I am convinced that no other contractor would have taken the time and energy he did to assure that everything was corrected and up to code. The house is now very, very solid and beautiful. She looks totally new. She just gleams. And so much credit goes to Sebastian and his crew for that. I literally could not have done this without him. His knowledge and influence made my house the best it could possibly be, with long-lasting and timeless finishes. She is now built to last. The house is going into the rental market. I am quite jealous of the person who will have the privilege of renting it. Vendor after vendor has commented on how great it looks. And the new property manager said it was "very impressive." Sebastian has every right to be proud of the work he has done here. I know I am. I cannot wait to work with him again. I would very much like to convert the garage into living space. Hire him while you can. When we are ready, we are going to steal him back, so take your moment now before it is too late!"

"Joe at Somerville Construction did a fantastic job remodeling our master bath. He handled all aspects of the work -- including demo and removal of our old, rotting tub and shower walls as well as floor tile, and then installing the proper, moisture-resistant wallboard, building a half-wall and shower seat, laying tile on walls and floor (where his precision was very much appreciated), installing fixtures, and even installing a heavy clawfoot tub. Joe also removed some old, outdated cabinetry in our family room and built a custom entertainment wall, exactly to my specs. Lastly, Joe repaired and painted some outdoor wood columns that had rotted. Joe is amazing. He is also the fastest, yet most precise worker I've ever seen! Most of all, I want to say what a pleasure Joe was to work with. He had a lot of energy, and was willing to make changes as the job evolved. His main concern seemed to be making sure everything was done correctly and that we were happy with the results. He also made sure everything was tidy as he left the job each day. I highly recommend this company, and Joe will be the first person I call in the future."

"Charles did an excellent job providing design recommendations for my kitchen cabinets and the kitchen itself. Based on his recommendations, he also expertly crafted matching “cabinet-like” doors to match the cabinets purchased. He incorporated this look around my free standing area that encompassed my walled-in downdraft stove which was previously covered in tile. He also designed my pantry door to my existing pantry area that matched the purchased cabinets. He saved me several thousands of dollars in lieu of purchasing new pantry cabinetry that would have required reconfiguration of the wall. I’ve received many compliments on the pantry door as well as the rest of the kitchen cabinetry remodel."
