"I absolutely love the job that was done and the Simonton windows that were installed. <br /> The three custom windows are non opening windows in the entry and living area and were previously covered by curtains for privacy. Cal Energy installed privacy windows with the Glue Chip design that are absolutely gorgeous. I no longer have to put curtains over these windows and it has turned my cave into a real living area. The difference is dramatic. <br /> They also replaced an old sliding glass patio door with a French Slider. This is my favorite aspect of the project. You had to use your entire body weight to open or close the old door. With this beautiful new French Slider I can open or close it with the flick of my little finger. It is truly a delight and gorgeous to boot! The installer even retrimmed the exterior wood and matched it exactly to the other exterior trim. How he knew to have that particular lumber with him I do not know but I was very pleased. <br /> I absolutely love the light that the Simonton windows let into my home and the privacy that they provide even with the blinds fully drawn (daytime of course) is spectacular."

America's Best were helpful and they were able to fit me into their schedule on a tight schedule. They showed up on time, did a very good job and I was happy with the results. "Showed up as scheduled to provide me an estimate. Confirmed that the damage was caused by a leaking shower drain connection,which allowed water to permeate the surrounding subfloor. He also informed me the the drain size wasn't to code. Should be 2" not the existing 1 1/2" inch diameter. Gene provided my with three options with each option increasing in price. Explained the positives and negatives of each option without trying to hard sell me the highest option. I chose the mid level,which didn't include replacing the south facing wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. Gene replaced the the drain pipe with the 2" and installed a new drain/hub. Removed sections of damaged sub flooring- recovered the the whole floor with new subfloor to make it more level ( problem in trailer homes ). Installed new cushioned vinyl flooring and trim. The floor came out looking fabulous !!! My wife just loved it and I appreciated how smooth it looked. I have been in the park maintenance business for 30 years ( recently retired) and I can tell you that I have a lot of experience with both good and bad contractors. I'm happy to say Gene is a good guy who knows his business inside and out and will explain what he is doing without making you feel dumb. He has gained experience in modern mobile homes thru ownership. Most will appreciate no surprise cost increases and his friendly demeanor. He was a pleasure to work with and did what he said he would do when he said he was going to do it.. I know that sounds kind of basic, but you would be surprised how many contractors have problems just performing the basics..Thanks Gene for a job well done!!! <br /> <br />"
